I received a notice that I have a collection from PROGRESSIVE MGMT SYSTE on my credit report. It says it was opened on 6/2023 for $1,227.00 with account number starting in ******** that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the **** and FDCPA.Business response

I recently received documents from Progressive Management Systems related to my personal information without having provided any prior consent or signature. To the collection company,
I received documents from your company that were mailed to me without my signature or consent. This action constitutes a breach of privacy and may be a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. According to the Act, certain procedures must be followed when collecting and reporting credit information, including obtaining proper authorization. Since I did not provide any consent or signature for the documents you sent, I believe my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act have been violated. I request that you cease any further communication and actions until this matter is resolved appropriately. Please provide clarification on this issue and ensure that my rights are respected moving forward.
