My name is ****** ********. Currently I'm renting at Southwest Condominums. I recently contacted the landlord because she still has not sent me a paperwork regarding lease renewal. I never received any paperwork from them whatsoever and my lease expired in November. When I contacted her she stated that there was money owed from November of 2020. I was in shock because I told her..what are you talking about? I thought that was resolved. The previous management team lost my money order and advised me that everything was fine and already taken care of. This new manager was very rude and started yelling. No it wasn't paid. I gave her photo copies of the money order that was paid and had a signed stamped that it was received from the office. After I sent her that, she asked me to get a replacement on the money order because they still don't know where the money order went and it was unaccounted for. So I did what was asked of me and called Western Union to replace the money order. I did advise the manager that they will be sending me replacement but I have to wait for it. So once I received the money order. I went to the office and gave her the money order and also the cashiers check for the monthly rent. Due note that I gave her the amount that she stated that the lease would be renewed and she took the payment. I asked her specifically if everything was fine and cleared and that there was no money owed. She stated yes. I asked her to please give me a copy of the lease so I can sign it. She said the office was swamped but will put it in front of the door. So I left. A month has passed by and I still haven't received the lease. So when I paid my next rent payment I wrote note asking about getting the lease. I have not heard anything from them. I decided to call today and finally got a hold of the manager. I asked her about the lease and she stated that we can't renew the lease because I owe a balance. I said..what balance? Well you've been month to month +>
