I went on the Seeking.com looking to meet a decent gentleman as this is a dating/relationship site. Allegedly. After six months of texting with numerous men and bots, and speaking by phone and meeting a few, it became clear that this site is viewed, by the men at least, as an ****** site. I began reporting each man who solicited *** for money and in the last couple of months there this included about 20 such individuals. At no time did I accept such an offer. However on Feb. 3 Seeking banned me for soliciting money for ***. This is 100% false. I asked for evidence and was given none. I asked to re-enter the site one last time to remove my photos and was denied this. I kept my evidence, including screen shots and emails. Seeking and InfoStream Group has libeled me and this violates civil law. I want ISG to 1) permit me to log on to the site long enough for me to remove my profile and photos, 2) apologize for their false accusation and 3) change their advertising to make it clear it is an ****** site, NOT a dating site. This way at least women know what they're getting into.Attached are email exchanges with Seeking, and an acknowledgement of 3 men soliciting *** that I reported in late January just prior to their false accusation and locking me out of my account.

      Hi,

Thank you for writing to us through the Better Business Bureau. I have taken the time to investigate your account, customer service tickets and the reports that you have made.

To address the question of reporting, there are only two reports to us of men, is there another account that I am not aware of? Our Terms of Use strictly states: "PROHIBITS ANY UNLAWFUL USE OF THE ***** INCLUDING ESCORTING, PROSTITUTION AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING. In order to proceed with this Agreement and to access the Service of the Website, You must acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement, including the Acceptable Website Use provision described herein." We encourage reporting of members that violate our Terms of Use, like you have done, thank you. We are unable to provide any evidence for privacy reasons.

Again, after the review of your account, the suspension of your account has been removed, which you should have been informed by Customer Service.

      Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

First, I tried to log on solely to remove my photos and was unable to do so. See attached phone screen shot.

Attached is a screenshot from the ****** account showing 11 reports I sent between Nov. 18-Jan. 14 of men who were using the site as an ****** service -- all of whom I rejected.

I will only close the complaint if you:

      1) Apologize for making the false accusation of me

      2) Enable me to enter the website to remove my material

      Sincerely,

Since InfoStream's response to my complaint was disingenuous -- I have still been unable to log on to the site to remove my photos and profile, and now InfoStream has ignored my second communication, I'm making a complaint with the ** Attorney General, which is where my transactions and conversations took place. I maintain that Seeking.com is actually an ****** site for *** work (illegal in **************) but is advertised as something legal. I also maintain that InfoStream has violated my privacy by not permitting me to re-enter the site to remove my photos and profile.

I'll provide this BBB complaint number with them and give you my permission to release this correspondence to AG's office if they request it.

      Best,

I was initially granted a refund after telling a live service agent that I was dissatisfied with the service because the site is marketed as a dating site when it is not. My account was later hacked, and because my payment information was saved onto the account, I was charged for another recurring membership without my authorization. I was able to regain access to my account, remove my card, and see that whoever compromised my account sent messages in my name. I blocked as many people as I could to limit some of the resulting damage. There were scams being pushed in my name, and they requested personal information from many people. I discussed it with a live chat agent, and they stated that the billing department would contact me. The billing department did not contact me. I also reached out to the support team through email, and have not received a response.

Thank you for reaching out. I have reviewed this situation and have asked the team to provide a refund. This will take 5-7 business days to be received at your financial institution.

Two weeks after signed up on the site as a paid member, by account was hacked. Someone replaced my photos and text and started messaging members asking for their phone numbers. I was able to reset the password, add dual factor with my phone, and also messaged all these members telling them my account was hacked and they should not respond. I also reported the incident to tech support. A day after that my account was deleted and my money was refunded with the message I need to create a new account with new email. I tried to create an account from three different emails, but as soon as I do that and enter my info or upload a photo of mine, the account gets suspended. I think my name/email/photos got blacklisted. I tried on multiple occasions to reach customer support (ticket *********, I offered to share my ID to be verified. Not only are a large percentage of profiles on here scams, but it is my opinion that management is proactively involved in pushing these scams, as it is the only way they can make money Let me back up a bit. About a month ago, I did a focus group with the management of the company, and specifically noted my concern, along with that of other reviewers on here, that many of the profiles arte stock photos of **** models, with nothing written on their profiles. Their head of customer service (lets assume his name is ******) seemed very offended by this assertion, and claimed that the website went out of their way to eliminate any scam profiles Unfortunately, I can document that this is simply not true, and with at least a third of the profiles being fake and very easy to **************** is complicit in this scam Typically, these girls than contact you asking you to make an offer, if you respond to such offer and match, the website gets paid. If/when after a conversation that consists of Hey and asking fort your WhatsApp info, that is the last you will hear from the person but management gets a % of whatever price you may have offered and does nothing to refund your money. The rub here is, the website used to allow you to either report these scam conversation and customer service would refund your credits, but now, they simply ignore these requests and I have nothing but wasted time dealing with customer service.Your not fooling anybody - happy to provide documentation if it means these scammers can be bought to justice for interstate fraud

      Business response

      10/25/2022

Mr. ********* claims are false and substantiated by only his own speculative
assertions. WhatsYourPrice.coms Terms of Use plainly states: The Website may be
used only for lawful purposes by individuals seeking relationships. As in this case, if
WhatsYourPrice.com became aware of any scam accounts, either on its own or
through member reports, those accounts would be banned. Here, ******************** has not
identified a single scam account that he reported that WhatsYourPrice.com failed to
      investigate (and remove).
Mr. ********* report also demonstrates a misunderstanding of how
WhatsYourPrice.com works. In his complaint, ******************** suggests that
WhatsYourPrice.com makes money from scam accounts because management gets
a % of whatever price you may have offered and does nothing to refund your money.
      These claims are false.
First, management does not receive a percentage of the price offered for a
date. On WhatsYourPrice.com, members are permitted to make offers for the
opportunity to take the receiving party on a first date. Through this process, members
demonstrate their sincere interest in getting to meet the other party. If an offer is
accepted by the receiving party, the party who makes the offer can then use credits they
previously purchased to open communication with the party who received and accepted
the offer. Credits are non-refundable. Thus, WhatsYourPrice.com makes money when
the user purchases credits and not when communication is opened between users or
when two users exchange contact information. And more to the point here, the
profitability of the business is not tied to the amount one member may offer another for
the opportunity to take them on a first date.
Second, WhatsYourPrice.com has a policy for refunding user credits when the
other member violates its Terms of Service. This is found on WhatsYourPrice.coms
FAQs page, under Do you offer credit refunds? For example, if one member used
credits to unlock communication with another member, and that member was involved
in some conduct in violation of the websites Terms of Use (i.e., running a scam), the
user could simply message customer support to receive a refund of their credits. In this
case, WhatsYourPrice.com is not aware of any instances where ********************
requested and did not receive a refund for credits spent to unlock communication with
      another member.
On a related note, Mr. ********* claims should be given no weight given that
they are belied by his own messaging. For instance, on August 16, 2022, ********************
wrote another user and said, I have only met 3 people from this site, and all have been
very good experiences :). (Emphasis added.) WhatsYourPrice.com does not know
Mr. ********* true motivations for filing this complaint, but his claims are demonstrably
false and he himself has exclaimed that his experience was very good.

The problem was I had paid for a month of service with this company. I did not have a chance to use it at first, so about a week later, I started, I had lots of issues, and I reached out to the customer service team. I had sent images and had lots of communication with the customer service. It still has not been fixed yet. I could not use the service during the month because every page had identical profiles. It would close out on my mobile, and I could only view part of the profiles, and then I would get error messages. I had sent all this to the reps a few times. I have sent numerous emails to their customer service and billing. I am just asking for the issue to be taken care of and a month of service that I never got to enjoy. I don't mind paying for it after that, but I want it to work correctly. From looking on other forum sites, I see many people have this issue and have the same problem with the customer service. I just feel someone needs to speak up

I have researched your case, here is what I have discovered: -We sent a request for information, which is what we normally request so that we can find the payment information and ensure that we have the right person for customers security -We were able to recover your account and you have been granted access. We are unable to provide a refund as you have processed a chargeback (requested a refund) through your credit card, which will take place. Thanks! Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/06/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/06/17) */ Hi, You are correct, we did not provide a refund. You requested a chargeback with **** on 6/14/2022. In this case, you are basically receiving a refund, just not from us. Thank you.

I had paid for a year of service with the company, and I had reached out about ten times advising that I could not use the service because the app did not work correctly on my phone. I advised them, and after four months of back and forth, they got back to me and told me they would refund me or give me a year of credit from right then and not to worry. I was dumb and should have taken the refund, but I like the site's Idea. Also, being Asian like Brandon ****, I figured he had morals, and I would take his company's word. The Biggest mistake of my life. Everything was fine for six months, and they canceled my premium service. So, I again wrote to the customer service advising what had happened, sending them the emails I had from other reps. They told me that was not good enough and there was nothing they could do. This is not about the money, this is about a service that was paid for and I have not got to use. I want to make sure other people see this and understand the scam this company does. If I save one person from going through what I had to go through it would be well worth it.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/02) */ Hi, I have reviewed this incident and have found, through your interactions with our customer service and the number of accounts opened. -There is no way to pay for a year membership in advance, we are a subscription service that is paid monthly or 90 days is the max that can be paid at one time. -The Manager of Customer Service provided a 90 day membership as a courtesy. When asked for proof of any interactions that promised a year service, there was no proof provided. -You deleted the original account and per our terms of use - we do not provide refunds. However, we have tried to rectify the situation by providing courtesy 90 day membership and this time has expired. Thanks! Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Thank you for the response. I was not given 90 days of credit because it was a good gesture. I had paid for 12 months of service that I was never able to use. When I spoke to many of your customer services over the 6 month time frame, we had never been able to fix the issue. I then spoke to one of your managers, who said he would give me all my time back that I could not use or a refund. The issue is that your team promised me the time I had paid for, but I am still owed 6 months. I like your site and have used it a lot in the past. I have friends who use this site, and they enjoy it as well. I had gone ahead and set up a new account and am waiting for the last six months of credit that I had paid for when I paid for the year ( month to month). If You want to meet me down the middle, I will take the loss on 3 of the 6 months that are left. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/05/05) */ Hi, Thank you for the response. Again, there is no way to pay for a 12 month membership on the site. In the customer service cases, we have asked customer for evidence that we have promised the customer 12 months of service, customer has not yet sent the evidence of the email conversation. Customer received a 90 day complimentary membership to clear up any misunderstanding. Thanks. Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2022/05/06) */ I never said I paid for a year upfront; I was charged for a year. I was charged for 12 months of service (month to month). During this time, I tried to work with your team to get the issue fixed so I could enjoy the service. You did not give me three months of service as a good gesture. You just gave me the time I had already paid for it and could not use your services. If you can not provide a result, please advise your legal team so I can have my attorney contact you. I did send all the documents to the previous email thread with your customer service about the payments I had made. Your customer service does not seem to be getting us anywhere, so let's take this to the courts and finish this. Please provide me with your legal team's contact information so I can reach out to them. I will also be suing for all legal fees and blasting this all over social media to advise how you guys are scamming me.

Seeking continuously deletes and bans accounts for no reason claiming violations of TOS. On 3/1/21 seeking deleted and banned account stating This account has been permanently suspended, following a violation of our terms: soliciting sex in exchange for compensation. This is not only false and misleading, but we have however documented 100's of sexual solicitations from 100's of long standing free accounts that never get banned or deleted. Our chain of evidence shows that seeking continuously and wrongfully suspends and permanently bans paid subscribers, while working with law enforcement and street escorts to maintain long standing accounts that are allowed to violate TOS. We have also documented over 100 successfully reported TOS violation and various criminal offenses that went unpunished after reporting the violation to seeking.

Right after saying that a portion of my profile wasn't approved, you all banned and suspended my account without offering me an opportunity to fix it. This is the third account that I've lost for the same issue, Mr. B****** helped me personally the first time to unban my account, but he hasn't put any measures in place to stop things like this from happening to women. Women make the site and it wouldn't run without us. I still didn't solicit sex in exchange fr money, and that cannot be proven.. I put 4k minimum in my header without enough characters to explain it. Please reinstate my profile and allow me to fix it. I just moved to Miami, and as a student I am not going to be able to further my education and continue living here. it is so expensive 😅. I realize my mistake and will not make it again, the moderator also unfairly assumed. I know the site is receiving heat related to prostitution, but you can't take that out on the women. Especially with scummy men on here.

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this business, please let the business know that you contacted BBB for a BBB Business Profile.
