I was deceived just like the person below. "I received a letter regarding student loan forgiveness and I was thinking it came from the government (my fault I did not read the small print at the bottom). I called the number and I spoke with Madelyn ****** who verified my address and instructed me to go on the website to log on. I downloaded my student loan data file and emailed it to her. When she gave me the email address, I sent her my student loan data. She placed me on hold and said that she was going to try and find what would best help me with student loan forgiveness." When she placed me on hold, I felt like it was legit; when she returned she started to talk about payments to be made to two different companies, and none to the Department of Education, and only after she collected all of my personal information, and then I asked if their company was authorized by the Federal Government and she said "yes." She said that they are hired to help students navigate the system. Madelyn ******, Daniela *****, Allison *********, and the Ernesto person mentioned earlier should all be imprisoned for fraud. I read their responses to complaints, they are crooked criminals who pretend that they are authorized agents of the government; otherwise, most people would not engage with them. How do I get them to scrub my information from their fraud scheme? I also think that the Department of Education should inform borrowers that these agencies are illegitimate, or if they are legit, the government should provide a list for each state because this ring of thieves will not stop until a severe punishment is in place to hopefully deter them. They also seem to use many disposable phones because they stopped returning calls after they stole my information. Payments to them go to **********.com My first payment is due June 20, 2024, and only my first payment will I hear from the Department of Education. These are true crooks. I'm working with my bank to stop them.

We apologize if Ms. **** changed her mind signing up with us, but after finding and reviewing her call, our rep never said we were authorized by the Federal Government. Ms. Kerr did ask many questions about our fees and the Department of Education, but those questions were answered. We make it very clear that we're a third-party, for-profit company. We don't know why Ms. Kerr couldn't reach us by phone (we don't know what number she dialed), but our client service number is active. We did receive her email correspondence and cancelled her account when requested.

When he placed me on hold, I started to feel like this wasn't something legit so I typed in public pro services and this business was brought up. After reading that this was a scam and they charged fees, I hung up immediately.

FRAUD ALERT - this company sends HIGHLY misleading letters with links to real government Federal Student Aid websites with instructions on how to set up an FSA ID / account and a notice to call them by X date in order to "benefit from" a supposed adjustment to your student loan balance. They ask for copious amounts of sensitive personal information without mentioning that they are not directly affiliated with any government agency when you call. They also try to get you to open links and e-mail them student loan data downloaded from your FSA account. Their address is not real it is a virtual office. I have filed an FTC report on them.

they are impersonating the government and acting as they have the power to withdraw all the student loan, it is a scam 100%, be prepared to sue them since you gave all your critical credentials to them , name address, social security and phone number and bank account, I reported them to FBI , I never had such experience, when I started to read the reviews, I was shocked from the level of the scamming public here in the united states.zero or negative star

Upon receiving a letter from this company, I initially believed it was from the department of education. When I inquired with Albert, he explained that they were akin to a tax service for the IRS. After providing basic information and sharing my student loan debt file, I received an email which revealed the company name. This name did not match the one on the notice I had received. When the salesperson placed me on hold, I took the initiative to investigate the company's reputation on ******. Initially struggling to find any information, a refined search revealed numerous customer reviews alleging that this company is fraudulent. I promptly ended the call.

Public Processing Services LLC is absolutely a scam!!! This company sends out documents with the URL of the regular .gov website so that you call and then they convince you that their program will help you take care of your student loans. I am not sure if they do anything at all besides take your money straight from your account. They claim that they help prepare documents however then they are nowhere to be seen, money is just missing. Everything they claim to do can be done on your own on the FSA website in 10 minutes and without a dollar spent. I am not sure how they manage to continue being even kind of legal but the bottom line is. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO!!!

Public Processing Services (PPS) is a private company that offers document preparation services for our clients.
It’s regrettable Ms. ******* felt the need to leave this review, but we try to be as transparent as possible, including that we charge a fee. Nevertheless, Ms. ********* account was closed when she called, and no payments were collected. Had she continued, we would have prepared her paperwork and mailed them to her, just as we said we would and nothing more.
It's good to hear Ms. ********* servicer worked with her to get on a new repayment plan, but we imagine she wasn’t aware of these options until contacted by us. Hopefully this means, servicers are now being proactive and are opting to save their customers money by moving them to more affordable plans.

This company is deceptive and I would call them a Student Loan Shark. I too shared private information and information related to my student loans, thinking this was a great thing, until I realized the services they offer are free with my loan servicer, Nelnet. I should have realized something shady was up when they asked for money up front. Do not use this service.

I am so tired of all these scams. How are you all allowed to say you are partnered with the Department of Education? You guys had me for a minute there. But looking below at the other reviews, it seems this is just a scam to get people to pay for paperwork. Shame on you all for trying to take advantage of students. Someone is going to fall for this today, could have been me. Thank God I found this page. Do not use this service!

Public Processing Services (PPS) is a private company that offers document preparation services for our clients. We prepare the documents required for them to enroll in consolidation and loan forgiveness programs offered by the Department of Education (DOE). While these programs are offered by the DOE, we make it very clear that we have no affiliation/are not partnered with the DOE. We do not know how far in the process sfiguera9 made it, but if it wasn't clear speaking with the agent, we ask each potential client a small number of questions to make sure they understand who we are and what we do so there is no confusion before they are accepted as a client.

My concern is somewhat preliminary as I have not invested money to this company. But after I contacted Mohela to deal with my Student Loan debt, this company gave me the impression that they were affiliated with Mohela. After allowing screen share with the agent which gave him access to my SSN as well as annoying calls from another agent at this company, I will have to stay alert regarding the misuse of my SSN.

Public Processing Services (PPS) is a private company that offers document preparation services for our clients. While we do prepare documents to help our clients enroll in consolidation and loan forgiveness programs offered by the Department of Education (DOE), we state very clearly that we are a for-profit business and we are not affiliated with the DOE, MOHELA, or any other student loan servicer. Ms. Tucker did speak with two of our agents. The first tried to help her access her FSA account, but there was no "screen sharing" involved; it's against policy to access a potential client's computer, or otherwise impersonate them in any way. The second time Ms. Tucker called in, she spoke with the second agent, and they scheduled a callback. We apologize if Ms. Tucker felt this was annoying and was not our intent. Concerning the misuse of her SSN, Ms. Tucker didn't finish the on-board process (she only provided a name and email address), so we have no record of it.
