on 06/22/2023 dental office charged me $3617.00 for dental 4 unit bridge in right bottom part of my mouth. *************** informed me that work cannot be started until full payment received. Even though office had since 06/05/2023 to verify amount my insurance will cover. I received proof of claim payment from Delta- my dental insurance company which paid $2052.00 from $3800.00 claim. I have asked for $1748.00 refund.Dental office replied to me that they upgraded material to gold and they did not put it on the claim since "insurance would not pay for it anyway". I was not informed about this up-charge, nor I signed any consent for it. All they told me "if you want, you can receive refund of $350". This business have A+++ reputation with BBB so I never expected to be treated that bad. Please, help me.Business response

*************** to this complaint referenced as ID# ******** because I was the treating dentist for the complainant. I advised her that I recommend gold under porcelain for biomechanics concerns of a 5-unit bridge with 2 spans connected by a compromised abutment tooth which failed with a prior bridge. I told her that there would be additional charges for the gold fee, and she agreed prior to the treatment. I do believe that she signed a written estimate according to my front office staff. I do know for sure that I advised her of the $300 charge per unit.
