Lasting Smile Dental Care, my first consultation on 3/17|2022 they give me a total cost of $5,523.00 for all the procedures, while I'm still in the office they offered me to apply ************ credit loan for 6k to cover the cost. Lending club funded the whole amount to Lasting Smile Dental Care after a few days. The procedure happened on 4/13/2022 after it was done Doctor ** told me they will schedule another procedure since it was not completed. Spoke to the office manager in regards to a refund for all outstanding procedure and she said it will be posted after insurance cover the cost. This request of credit refund never happen. Take note outstanding procedure never occur and still unfinished. After few days ****** called me to set up another follow up appointment and to discuss remaining balance of more than 4k due to computer program error on their end(computer formula is calculating incorrectly) I told ************** will Not pay this amount because I didn't agree on this. Lasting Smile reported me on ************ collection to pay $4000 plus interest.

My complaint surrounds the billing practices of this dental office, in particular ******. If you read Yelp reviews, you will see Im not the only one that has had issues with her. I question their billing techniques, and the accuracy of what they claim is a patient balance. Most importantly I question their collection efforts, its borderline harassing. And their threats to report to collections may not be legal. I dont understand why this business employs her. And I would like the owner to be aware that this bully is ruining his clinics reputation.

After a thorough review of ******************** records, we have found that her insurance benefits changed, unbeknownst to us.  Procedures we expected to be paid at 80%, were only covered at 50%.  This significant drop in insurance coverage resulted in an unexpected balance due from the patient.  It is very possible that ****************** was also unaware of this change but ultimately services were rendered and are the patients responsibility.  ******************** insurance carrier dictates the fees she is charged and she should receive from them an Explanation of Benefits for every claim they pay, detailing her financial responsibility.  While we always strive for accuracy when estimating a patient's financial obligation, we can only work with the information we have.

****************** also complains of being harassed.  While we do actively work on our accounts receivable, we never want our valued patients to feel harassed.  If we leave a message for or send a statement to a patient, we will continue to try to establish personal communication.  This is not meant to be bothersome, only to communicate.

We take ******************** comments very seriously and while it may be to late for her and her family, we have taken a second look at our collection practices.  Our objective is to provide the highest quality dental care and keeping our administrative costs down.  We sincerely apologize and wish nothing but the best for ****************** and her family; they are always welcome back to our practice should they so choose.

I pail **** dollars for a snap on denture. it was a costume denture and one of the teeth fell out, plus it needed to be adjusted as it wouldn't stay in place. I went in today and a rude receptionist, you have to have a full examination for $140. I asked if she could just take the denture and put the tooth back in. in a harsh voice,I she said no. I haven't been able to use my denture because I don't want more teeth to fall out. The denture falls out every time I try to eat with them.
