They continue to pull the same fake invoice scam, with the very faint greyed out "This is not a bill". Pretty ironic that their motto at the top is "Don't over think it GLinkx it!" Wouldn't want people to realize it is a completely unnecessary "service" that is just designed to scam the inattentive out of money.Review from Kathryn H

I received a similar solicitation last October (dated 10/19/2023) well after they responded to the negative reviews on this site and claimed they would update their mailings in response to feedback. Maybe they included different verbiage in this version--they do have some disclaimers in the body of the document that they are not a domain registrar, etc. However, it is still formatted like an invoice in the hope that some Accounts Payable department will just pay it without determining whether or not anyone cares about some internet directory that nobody ever uses. As I am a sole proprietor who handles all IT, Accounts Payable, marketing, etc. I know that my company is not interested in this service and is not renewing a subscription. However, if I were letting some "virtual assistant" handle my AP, they might be tricked into paying for it. A company that's large enough to have a separate AP department busy enough they might not need approvals for invoices under $300 might just pay it.Review from Cia A

Just another of the many scam "businesses" sending out fake invoices, claiming they are offers when in fact they make up the "offer" to look like an invoice.If they were serious in their claims this invoice is an "offer" then they would have the "This is not a bill this is a solicitation...." in bold 48pt type on the top of the invoice.The name of the "business" alone should be an indicator they are a scam site.Review from The Musketeer A

This company sent our Non-profit and invoice of $284.00 and with a threat if we don't pay in 30-days our website down. First of all, ************************* has never done business with them. Second, they have a PO Box Address, which is no longer allow by the Federal, State, and City to set up business (Non-profit or For-profit). You have to have a street address with a phone line where a person --- not a machine has to answer or return your call with in 24-hours. Last, but less, no person of contact or tech support to be reach via email or phone.As this BBB to take action against this company. Demand that they take down their website because IT IS A SCAM!!!!!*************************, CEOReview from John H

Complete scam. It was just put on my desk for approval after being reviewed by our admin that sorts out mail. I had never heard of the company before and googled them only to find that other people have this same encounter. It definitely should be illegal to misrepresent 'marketing material' as an invoice where they list your domain, have provided you with a unique customer number and have a perforated tearoff to remit with payment.Review from LE T

They are a total scam! They are sending fake invoices to be paid for domain services that do not exist!!!

The fact that you disguise a solicitation as an invoice would make me question ever wanting to subscribe to your services. The defensive responses to some of the previous reviews only backs up that sentiment. A respectable company would actually care that the people they're marketing to feel deceived by your solicitations instead of resorting to such defensiveness. As much as you can claim it's a marketing offer, the solicitations are CLEARLY intended to deceive. In my case, I work for municipal government where part of my job is management of our website. I and employees of our Purchasing Dept are fairly new and our unfamiliarity with the name could have been easily attributed to a subscription being implemented before we started. You have a a section perforated clearly looking like an invoice with what is intended to look like a due date, you have what is clearly intended to look like a customer number, the "this is not a bill" writing is a faded shade of gray that is CLEARLY meant to be overlooked.Glinkx Response

Glinkx sent a fraudulent "invoice" to our nonprofit for web hosting/listing. They included a "customer number" even though we were never a customerThis is horrible behaviour and they did it purposefully. Shame on them.Glinkx Response

Glinkx is a business directory and is stated as such 3 times on our offers. We help businesses get online exposure worldwide. Our offer states that we are NOT a domain registrar and we do NOT renew domain names. Subscription to our service is optional. This is NOT an invoice. It's a marketing offer to have your business featured on Glinkx business directory. We have thousands of satisfied customers.Customer Response

If you really believe that this is not intended to look like an invoice and trick people into paying it, you have lost touch with reality. Shame on you for sending it. How do you sleep at night? You know exactly why you do this and try to live life through the fine print by tricking people. Shame!
