Take your business elsewhere! Not a professional! Not even close! 1) Had an appt and after waiting almost an hour, when I approached the window, was told they had a patient emergency and the Dr. had to handle it - - HOWEVER, they don't advise waiting patients of the delay, nor do they offer the patient the option to reschedule - instead they expect you to wait because the take your payment UPFRONT! 2) They provided a referral to a specialist and once they had the results, refused to discuss the results with me saying the specialist would need to. The specialist said the referral was for TESTING only" - not "consultation & evaluation" so they could not discuss results with me. I paid for services and now neither Dr. would discuss the results with me! Maria's office refused to send over another referral for /evaluation so the Dr. would discuss with me. I then spoke with a Office Manager at the specialist office and got the results I was seeking and a short time later that Dr. called me back to discuss personally! Now that is professionalism but not from Maria's office staff 3) The referral from Maria's office had someone else's SS# listed as mine. They prev tried to tell me I am the only patient that has mentioned unanswered calls and patients left in waiting rm w/o communication, etc)- I think NOT! 3) Maria's office called me back to say another referral had been sent so specialist could discuss results with me. When I asked about the incorrect SS# on the referral - I was told to "just disregard that - it was wrong". Really? That's it? That's how you address incorrect info? They're a Dr's office and its not a problem if they send stuff out with incorrect SS #s? Her staff member then hung up rather than address the error. Unprofessional and unacceptable! I like Dr. Maria but her business practice and etiquette is lacking professionalism. I don't typically complain but there are too many issues with this office to not speak up!
