Signed contract on 11/11/22 for Bathtub Demo and walk in shower installation with shower valve and and shower pan installation and half paid upfront via check for $4,745.00. Said check cashed by contractor and cleared my checking account on 11/14/22. On 11/16/22, my master bathtub was removed, drywall cut out, insulation exposed. Contractor's Plumber allowed discharge of water onto my exposed walls/insulation and brought an industrial fan x 1 to dry out the area. Contractor's ******* returned on 11/21 to take his fan. On 11/21 contractor installed new baseboard per our contract. Contractor sent plumber to not move the drain to the center but leave the bathtub drain in place and install a 1.5 inch shower drain. I told All American Repair Owner, Damir, that city code requires a 2.0 shower drain and it should be moved to center of shower. Owner Damir said, no. I texted him pictures of city code book. He told me it would be $1100 to install center 2.0 inch drain. I told him it was his responsibility to quote a contract to code and with applicable permits as that is why I paid and signed a contract with a licensed contractor as I lack the expertise and am relying on his professionalism. He denied needing permit to open shower wall, install shower valve or shower pan. He finally verbally agreed to have his contracted plumber get permits and absorb the extra cost of proper drain installation location and size. Since 11/21/22, no one has been at my home to work on my shower. **********'s plumber called me on 12/7/22 to say his brother passed away from a heart attack the week prior and that is why he lost contact with me. The Contractor's plumber last contacted me on 12/16/22 and said he had the plans but the permit office was closed on 12/16 but would be filing them soon. NO PERMITS have been filed per CITY and no work done as of today, 12/28/22.

I am rejecting this response because: I was never informed the permit process would take 2-3 months until 1/4/23 which is after I filed this BBB complaint in late December 2022. The business owner, *****, last communicated with me on 12/5/22 saying "*** has to have it inspected then we'll go ahead and continue".  *** the plumber on 12/5/22 then replied in group text, "yes, I just got my drawings.". No education on timeline was given, despite request, which is a professional courtesy.  Can we see the submission date of the drawings?

      Sincerely,

      ***********************************

I have a house at *********** Ave. In Las Vegas. My tenant had a house fire in Oct 2020 . I hired Damir D**** at All American Repair to rebuid the House (December, 2020) working with Peggy M***** of ******* Claims as my Public Adjuster. Peggy M***** Stongly recommended All American. They both stated the house was fully insured with ******.com. , and would not cost me anything to rebuild, not even the $1000. Deductible. They also stated that the job would be finished in 4-6 months. They have just finished today after 19 months. All American Repair has sent me a final Invoice of $13,762.34. And a threat to place a Lien on my House. Peggy M***** got the Insurance to send me a final Payment of $4816.76 leaving a balance of $8945.58 for me to pay. I'm retired and live in Canada. This house rental was a main part of my income. I've already lost over $20,000.00 from the delays to the rebuild while paying all the bills. Also The HOA has several thousand dollars in fines against me because All American had a Dumpster on the street , Dead Trees and Unsightly premises. These were being fined at $50. Per week each violation. I Believe the total payment from the Insurance to be $245,048.49. Any assistance in adjustment of invoice would be greatly appreciated.
