My friend had a house fire and they did the emergency board up. they had me sign the work order I asked how much I was told we don't know how many boards are needed. I received a bill for $ 1850.00 with no breakdown . I priced the boards at Home Depot at $30.00 a piece I realize this was after hours but $1760.00 for what labor? I requested from them a estimate for 3 boards and they told me they couldn't give me a price I was told they would have to come out and evaluate and I would receive a bill after the work was completed. I live by principal and this is wrong no matter what It's forced price gouging at it's worst

Gary, My apologies for the trouble you are experiencing but I need a little more information.  I don't show you (Gary ******) in my system for doing work for you.  Would the job have been under a different name?  I can search under address as well.

Beware of Company. They have a deal with the Las Vegas Fire Department. Someone from the company is in cahoots with the city and they are ripping people off right and left. We called the Fire Department because one of our tenants smelled something from the unit next door (the unit was not on fire or anything like that). It turns out that a homeless person had gotten into the unit next door. So without informing us or the tenants next door, the Fire Department calls this company who comes to put up 1 piece of plywood and a couple screws on the door (all of which was ripped off the following day by the same homeless person). We later get a bill for $827.00 from this company. I call to find out first who they are and why they are sending me a bill (I never approved for them to do anything on my property). They tell me that the Fire Department hired them to come out and they boarded up 1 Window and Screwed the door shut. I was surprised why it was so expensive and the ladies response was that this was an emergency call and "We charge from the minute we get the call, not for just the work we do." And IF we didn't pay, thats fine, they will put a lien on our property. She knew that they had us cornered and they are going to get their money one way or another, as they are in partnership with the Fire Department. I made multiple attempts to resolve the issue with the owner and the lady over the phone to resolve the issue by paying a fair price for the services rendered, but that was NOT an option for this company. They wanted the full amount OR else they are going to lien the property. During the pandemic, businesses are closing down, people loosing their homes, barely making ends meet, but luckily the guys at Copper Creek Construction are doing great charging $827.00 for a $40.00 piece of plywood and 1 hour of labor. Thank you to the Las Vegas Fire Department for finding such a horrible companies to work with. The citizens fo Las Vegas are very thankful their tax dollars are being spent here.

Vahan H********, I think you may be confusing us with another company. We don't show any record of ever doing work at you home in 89103. The only name in our records close to yours is Tony H******** where we wrote a 27 page estimate for motor Vehicle damage in the 89135 zip code back in 2018. No work was contracted or invoiced for either of these names.

      Hello,

No, I am definitely not confusing you with another company. This review is for Copper Creek Construction. The service address zip code is 89104. Your invoice number is 203040, dated 11/29/2021. I would be happy to upload a copy of your invoice to BBB if there is a way to do so.

We have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue with your company, but since you have a deal with Las Vegas Fire Department and you know you can charge the MAX allowed by law, you see no reason to work with customers to resolve issues. You can just lien the property. Much easier and profitable for your company.

I wouldn't try to negotiate the price or lower your asking price IF I would have been the one to hire you OR IF I would have known and agreed to your price. I DIDN'T hire you, I DIDN'T agree to your price, yet, I have NO CHOICE but to pay you whatever you ask for? All because you have a deal with Las Vegas Fire Department. This works great for you and your connection at LV Fire Dpt.

Yes, please upload a copy of the invoice so I can view the details of the call. We are not hired by the Fire Department and in no way overcharge for our services Our pricing is fixed by your insurance company and not the fire department. There is a lot of work the goes into being called out in the middle of the night to secure a property. Minimum of 2 crew members are always dispatched for safety reasons. I am happy to look at the file and charges but I do not have any information for "Vahan H" in my system so I will need a service address so I can take a look.

Please provide your email address and I will email the copy of the invoice, even though I already provided you your companies Invoice number. The property address is *** E Saint Louis., Las Vegas NV XXXXX. The invoice you sent is under the company name. Again, your invoice number is #XXXXXX. If the Fire Department didn't hire you and I didn't hire you, then why are you doing any work on my property and sending me a bill? Please clarify as I am confused. As per your receptionist, you did the work at my property in the middle of the day, not at the middle of the night. If you bring this message up with your receptionist, she will remember the exact situation as we went back and forth multiple times with me attempting to resolve the matter and her response being that there is nothing she can do to resolve it, it has to be paid in FULL or a lien will be placed on the property.

I have discussed this with my billing department to negotiate your invoice. Please make contact with her at your earliest convivence.

I am sorry you feel like you have been mistreated. Our company specializes in emergency fire and water damage services. Quick response is essential to mitigate further damage and or vandalism. If the fire department accessed the property and was unable to secure it, that is when the call us to assist. Night or day, 24/7/365 we are available, however it requires us to reallocate resources from one job to another if it is during the day, or get someone out of bed in the middle of the night. In either case, it takes more than just throwing up a sheet of plywood as you mentioned.
