I previously purchased a bolt carrier group for my rifle from this company that was suppose to be warrantied for life. After a few uses, the item failed. After reaching out for a resolution, the company did everything but assume responsibility for the malfunction for their product. They accused me of using the wrong components that were not in specifications that comply with their product. The item was advertised as one that would work with my exact setup. Not to mention, I continually had to keep emailing to get an update for the resolution. Im about a month in and have been told that theyd repair it but never sent a return label or instructions. My other option was to pay an additional $150 for an upgraded version. Initially Id like to mention that this bolt carrier group was about $400 give or take. It was suppose to be an aftermarket upgrade for my rifle already. I didnt find it reasonable to pay more for an item that was suppose to be an upgrade initially. Not trusting the product due to it being a liability or perhaps even a hazard to my safety I requested a refund. The company replied telling me that they are new owners of the company and that Id have to track down the previous owners to sort out that refund. That, to me, did not seem right so I replied that, since they are the new owners of a company whose product I purchased in good faith they should assume responsibility of rectifying the issue and sort it out with the previous owner. I have yet to hear back in over 2 weeks. Truly I purchased this item in good faith. Judging by the fact that they offer an upgraded version to an item that is suppose to already be an upgrade to my firearm, I dont trust it in my firearm and simply want A refund. I cannot justify paying more for an item that is already among the priciest In its category that is claimed to be durable and fail safe. I've reached out to the company numerous times over the last 12 months to have a product of theirs that I purchased fixed or refunded. The company (Salient Arms International) has not responded with any sort of helpful action. The item is pistol that cost $2,687.15. It does not function as it should, will not shoot under most circumstances and is completely faulty. I would like a new pistol or a full refund.
