    Since April 2023, ******* has been billing monthly me for a service I used once. They've charged me $19.93 for 18 months. I've tried calling multiple times, pressing each of the three options offered. No one answers when I press 1, or when I press 2 or when I press 3.After holding for a long time, I've been disconnected. I can find no way to cancel on their website.They suggest emailing ******************** but I see from other complaints that the company has not responded to email contact either.Since I see that you can only go back 12 months, can you obtain a refund for me for $239.16?I think this company should be stopped!!!!! It's a scam.

    I have been charged for this service. I do not use it. I want to cancel the subscription. I can not get a hold of anyone by phone. They do not answer their emails. There is no way to cancel on website. I just want the charges to stop coming out of my account. Please make it stop. $ 20 a month has been coming out of my account for many months now

    This appeared on my bank statement today (electronic notification), and It states it is a monthly fee. I have had no contact with this company, ever. This is clearly a scam. I tried to stop payment at my bank, and was told that I had to contact the company by phone to handle it. When I did, I was placed on hold for 2 hours. I want this payment to stop.

    I have been trying to call Persopo for 9-months to cancel my membership and I press number 3 to cancel my membership and just sit on hold. I have tried different times of the day and I still sit on hold. I just want my membership canceled.

    I had recently noticed an odd charge on my bank account and contacted my bank to dispute the charges after further review she told me this ahs been going on since February 6th, 2023 and they can only dipute the last 60 days. I asked the rep is there a way I can recover the rest of the money, she said a good place to start is wit the BBB.

    There have been 16 unauthorized withdrawals from my account, with previous requests for refund yet no response Attempts to call but impossible to contact Total unauthorized charges $318.88 It's like I can't stop the theft

    I signed up for a usage of this service in 2021 but did not clearly understand I was signing up for a monthly subscription. I thought this was a one time charge. I did not use this service even 1 time in 2+ years after the initial report I received (which was not that helpful). When I went to Persopo.com I was unable to cancel my subscription so I had to call. The first time I called I could not get through and tried calling multiple times during business hours. Tried again in Oct and spoke to an agent and I requested a partial refund for at least 1 year of the subscription (as it has been being paid for 2 years completely unused) as I have clearly not used the service. They refused. Requesting a refund of at least 1 year ($240) for 2 years ($480) of a completely unused subscription.

    I am not stating that I cancel the service earlier.  I am stating that I only used the service 1 time, did not understand I was signing for a monthly subscription and did not use it for over 2+ years.  I am requesting a refund for 1 year of the 2 years of unused services.

    I contacted Persopo on 8/14/2023 with an Opt Out request to remove my information from their web site. I never received an email reply confirmation with a ticket number. I continued to check the site and completed additional Opt out requests but my opt out requests are never completed. I emailed them 4 or 5 times but they do not respond and do not follow through on Opt out requests. The last time I contacted them was an email on 8/29/2023 through your website (BBB). They will not resolve over the phone, all they say is it will take 10 - 20 business days (it is now past that time) to complete the removal request which is ridiculous. I checked the site again today and my information still has not been removed. Other sites have removed information in 48 hours or less. I want my information removed from their site ASAP. I saw that other people filed complaints with you so I felt I had no other option than to do the same. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Thank you for the quick response.  I just received an email response from Persopo, what a coincidence.  They gave me a ticket number ****** and stated they are working on my request.  They also gave me a phone number to contact them.  Not sure why this process took so long from the beginning.  I will notify you with any additional updates.  Thank you again.

    I asked ******* to remove my personal information multiple times, as early as 2018 and as recently as 2023. I emailed ******************* as instructed. Both ****** and ****** of ******* claimed that they "completed my request to Opt Out." Not true! My personal information is still on the website, exactly as it has been for years. I am escalating to my legislators' offices for advice if BBB does not work. Requests ****** and 315532.Persopo violates people's rights to privacy.

    I do not understand how a business can publicize people's personal information, and then ignore those people's requests for privacy, without consequences.

    This company provides an online service of background checks for a monthly fee that is automatically charged each month. In attempting to cancel the account via their phone number, you get put on hold and then disconnected after a few minutes without ever speaking with anyone. I have also emailed them and received a instant email response that they will get back to me as soon as possible. They claim that they are, "We are passionate about customer support." but clearly make it impossible to cancel a membership.The account in question is associated with the email: *********************
