      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this was resolved after far too much time, work and far too many fees.

      Sincerely,

I used Provident Trust Group (account number ********** to manage money for a self-directed **** My investment was $100,000. My understanding was that the money would be invested with a company that bought bad mortgages and settled them with the mortgagee at a higher return than what they bought them for. It turned out to be some kind of scheme, and the company (******* Asset Group LLC) was sued via a class action lawsuit (Case Number 1: 20-cv-00941-ELR). I was part of that class action suit, and in December 2021 received my portion of the settlement, $49,060.23, which was less than half of what I invested. I took this check and invested in a new *** with a different investment company. I have tried numerous times to talk to Provident Trust Group to close that account, since there is nothing there, but am told there is a balance of $49,060.23 (miraculously equals the settlement amount I received and have reinvested elsewhere), and that I am past due on fees to maintain that account. ********************** has told me I need to engage a lawyer to execute a deed before they can distribute the funds and close the account, but again, there is nothing there and I should not have to pay a lawyer to close this out.

I have an account with Provident Trust Group to which a outside deposit is made to my account on or about the first of every month. They refuse to post that deposit before three weeks have passed and now the have even skipped a deposit (for September 2021), but my account is showing my October deposit. Calling them several times has not resulted in any satisfaction.

Poor Management of Funds and Record Keeping - In May 2016 we initiated the removal of investments out of Provident on two accounts due to improper management & poor recordkeeping. During the course of multiple request Provident constantly lost paperwork, directing to wrong dept, wrong people, refile, new fees, etc. Transferred out in March 2020, but with wrong information on the IRS Forms. Over a year trying to get corrected & this is an IRS tax issue as well. Multiple request for correction are ignored, last one May 2021 with documentation to two different contacts as directed, multiple follow up and still no word from Provident.
