I needed all of my my backyard surfaces refinished. I called Triedgen and owner Ben showed up, told me what his "team" could do and that my backyard would require about 5 men for a period of 5 days. He gave me an acceptable bid and we set out to complete the work.
On the day the work began, one man shows up to work. One man worked on the yard for a week and I called Ben to ask why there was only one guy and he said that all we would need.
After 2 weeks he sent me a notice that the work was complete and that I was to pay him. I told him they had not completed the work, that he did not do my entire yard, but had only done "patches" where he thought it would be necessary. My yard looked awful, inconsistent, like patch work, as if I had taken the cheap way out. Not good on any level.
I told him my bid and our understanding were that the entire yard was to be done and that what he did was unacceptable. He said he was done, and to pay him and he threatened me. I told him to please finish the job and I will pay the final half.

A week later he called me to come by and look at the yard with him. He showed up for our mid-day appointment late, and drunk as a skunk. He told me the work looked fine and that he was done. He threatened that if I did not pay him he would take me to collections and file a lien on my house. I told him to leave my property.
I knew that that point that this is how this guy works. Instead of trying to do a good days work, he does work on the cheap and then uses bad business practices to cover his inabilities.
We still have not resolved the situation. He has not called me, he has never returned, but he did file a Collections against me which is as unprofessional as it gets.
Don't let this company near your house. Beware of Ben and Treidgen.

This review is in n response to a collections notice due to non-payment of services rendered. These claims are false and exaggerated I am effort to hurt the credibility of this family owned business.

Mr. ****** requested a bid to resurface existing an existing cool deck rather than resurface the deck entirely die to the difference in cost The approved bid was to repair damaged areas only, however, after several attempts to make Mr. ****** happy, he still insisted on resurfacing the entire deck but refused a change order to reflect his desired scope of work. Mr. ****** recently sent a letter to Treidgen threatening to destroy the credibility of this business if his collection was not removed.

The work was for the entire yard. That work was not completed as contracted for. They bid low to get the work and then tried to bait and switch to get me to pay more to do what was rightly contracted for. Instead of trying to solve the problem, Treidgen went to the path of least resistance and slapped a collection agency on me and walked away. It will be my goal always to protect other individuals like myself who get taken advantage of by contractors pretending to be capable when they are not. I will share the word with every neighbor, realtor and other contractor I come across. Buyer beware.

The scope of work clearly states Pool Deck and does not include work on other areas of the property. Treidgen has been a reputable contractor in Las Vegas since 2018 and most certainly does not follow the path of "least resistance". This has been shown by the numerous outstanding reviews by happy customers over years of service. We stand by our workmanship and quality and will continue to provide quality contracting and customer service.
