    I am making a complaint against a mover who moved our goods from ***************************. The pickup date was July 4th 2021 and the delivery date was July 8th 2021. We are filing a complaint for the damages they caused to a number of our goods and to the dry wall at our current address. The mover acknowledged all the damages and confirmed via text message that they will repair/reimburse for those damages. It has been two months without any progress to withhold their promise/responsibilities to repair/reimburse for the damages. It seems like they are stalling without doing anything and to wait out until we give up. The below are the damages and the estimated costs: 1)Damaged marbled table estimated cost of repair $300 -$1200 2)6 stained dining chairs estimated cost of repair $500 3)Damaged night stand/side table (one of the movers dropped the night stand in front of us) estimated cost of repair $300 4)Damaged dry wall estimated cost of repair $250 5) Missing legs dresser $200

    Jay (Dae Nam) arranged moving services. He accepted only cash payments as a payment method and forces to receive the payment before completion of the service. They also held our belongings as hostage and threatened to take the belonging away unless the cash payment was received before even finishing the delivery and also stated that calling the police would only make this matter worse for us, further forcing us to comply with his wishes. He then further blackmailed us by charging an additional arbitrary fee of $500 without any notice, approval, or consent. The invoice that was given was only given after everything was paid and only put $2500 down on the invoice, not the full amount paid of $4000. Only then did he agree to unload our things. At the end of the day, our belongings were poorly handled and we ended up with severely damaged and ruined furniture. He did not even try to resolve the problems and simply ignore any complaints that we have had. Our damages was significant. The way he handled the business and customer should be punished and the amount of distress, anxiety, and fear that we have had over this matter is incalculable and those responsible should be severely punished.
