On 7/6/2023, my mom, daughter and I went to T-Nails. I wanted to get a pedicure and manicure before I went out of town the next morning for my uncle's memorial service. I paid $200 that day in which I was asked to use the *** next door and pay in cash. I was at the airport at 6:30 the next morning, 7/7/2023, and before I even got on the plane 1 nail had already snapped off. By the end of that day 2 nails had snapped off. When I looked at my nails, I could see they were really thin on the top half of my nails exactly where they were snapping off at. Every time I turned around for the most ridiculous reason a nail snapped off. I would reach into my purse to grab my lipstick and snap off a nail. I picked a seashell up off of the beach and snapped off a nail. By the time I got back home on 7/11, I had broken a total of seven nails. I have never in my life broken this many nails even after 3 or 4 weeks. The very next day I went back to T-Nails expecting them to be apologetic and fix them, they were anything but. The girl that did my nails first tried to say that they didn't have the color nail polish on my nails and that I must not have got them done there. So the man asked me what number the Polish was and I told them 196 and they checked & of course they had it. They went back and forth for a while speaking another language so I don't know what was said. Then the man told me he would give me a discount to fix the broken nails. I told them I paid $200 four days ago and I don't think I should have to pay more to have them fixed since obviously something wasn't done right the first time. Then I asked him why would I pay them more money for them to do my nails when they didn't do it right the first time. After going back and forth about it for a few minutes with him, I turned around and left because I was not getting anywhere with him and they were being extremely rude.

Sunday, July 31st, between 1630-1800 I had received a pedicure and manicure at TNails. The girl doing my nails disclosed she hadn't eaten since opening, just started working there 2-3 weeks. I did not see any equipment removed from clean packaging. I was extremely tired after work and went there due to it being open and near me. She dug into my toe nails. Following morning one toe is red, pus filled, and extremely painful to walk on. Clearly infected. I called the salon, and they were stating they wanted to do a partial refund. The owner kept referring to me as the white girl. He was not pleasant. This has yet to be concluded regarding charges, aside from me disputing it with my credit card company, and honestly now that my toe is becoming worse, I sought medical care the following Tuesday. I'm now on 2 antibiotics. One oral and one topical. It is day 3 now and it looks worse than when I went to urgent care. Like my skin is rotting away. I have always taken perfect care of my feet. And I do have before pictures. My co-pays, my time, my everything is impacted by this infection. my big toe hurts and looks disgusting. I attempted to reach the salon again and either they aren't answering or my call is being screened. I feel this could be related to unsanitary tools, I am worried about my toes recovery to the maximum. I don't know what to do as I NEVER had an issue like this before.

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/08/17) */ Hello, Our nail tech served heather, she had 2 years experience, nail tech did her regular pedicure for ******* like everyone.she did right job ,she sanatized all tools before each customer, we have sanatizer machine .Nail tech do right her step .when nail tech start do pedicure ******* mentioned that she got hurt her big toe when she tried to do by herself at home that's why we don't know it may happened before at home . ******* got full refund $ 65 .I told her bringing medical bill and we review and resolve this matter. Thank you Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/08/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I hope no one else had an outcome like mine and this is considered a fallout. I have never experienced an infection from any salon . I believe the owner needs to honest that he was not watching that tools were even sanitized. This statement of toe pain is absolutely not related to infection that was caused. Discomfort with nail length and pus, swelling AFTER are not related. I have gone to nails salons for decades for a pedicures to manage my nails and NEVER had infection and now 2 rounds of antibiotics required. My copays have now reached $90. I can't wear regular shoes due to pain. They look terrible. I also have before pictures of my feet to prove there were no issues that would justify this infection that to this day is still not healing. I don't appreciate dishonesty and not owning that it was not clean. This has impacted my professional life. While the Onwer called me to tell me about his sick wife and kid he chose to ignore if this impacted my life. Copays needs to be covered, and it was not clean. How do I do this when it's still not healed? Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/09/06) */ When ******* is ready ,bringing copay medical bill . we will meet and resolve this matter. Thank you
