I purchased my 2013 mini ****** ********** with power train ins in October of 2023. In May of 2024 my engine blew. I took it to mini ****** of las Vegas because the ******* dealership doesn't work on mini ******. I received my car back in July 2024 with a new engine approx 81k miles on that engine after the advisor (*****) advised me and my father the engine had 65k miles. and they replaced I believe my fuel pump. I paid around $770 for my spark plugs and ignition coils, I drove this car less than or right around ***** my engine blows again. I pay for a second tow to the mini ****** of las Vegas. ***** my service advisor informs me that now not only is my engine blown my timing chain is shot, my guide rails are broken, oil pan is cracking and my turbo is now broken. And the engine I thought had 65k miles really has 81k. I fought him on me paying out of pocket for anything the second time because my new engine was warrantied and nothing else on my car was broken. He calls me approx. 2 weeks ago to tell me they found another engine with 85k miles and I need to pay for my turbo. My g I ended up just walking out with my now 2nd engine. And turbo that I paid to replace even though the original was not damaged when I dropped the car off to begin with.I picked my car up Friday 9/27 and Sunday 9/29 my power steering is out and I've driven this car less than 100 miles. Monday 9/30 I had it towed to mini of las Vegas again and he calls at 7:30am to tell me nothing is wrong with my power steering. I told him check again and today he tells me that his mechanic drove it and the power steering is infact out. Not an exact estimate but it could be around 4k to replace. Can someone please advise why Everytime I've brought my car in there 7 more things have gone wrong? Why I'm responsible for things that weren't broken till they worked on it? I just want my car fixed at this point or I need them to buy it back and put me in a new car because this is ridiculous.

Consumer purchased a MINI from outside dealer and purchased an extended warranty through them.

11 year old vehicles will come with many issues and it is always best to purchase an extended warranty which is a great decision on the customers part to do so.

The $770 paid by the consumer was to cover parts that the warranty company does not cover.

The issue with warranty companies is that they try to save costs which is why they use, second hand auto parts to fix vehicles.

With that being said, it is unfortunate that the first used engine blew, so the warranty had to replace it for the second time.

We are replacing the power steering rack for no cost to you.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. The parts in question come with a 2-year warranty from Mini. The ****************** can file a claim if the customer is willing to return to the dealership, as the parts must be assessed as part of the claim. This cannot be done by the Parts Department.

      Thank you.

      Good day All,

I have not heard anything from BBB regarding my complaint against the Las Vegas Mini ******.  Why suddenly the mini ****** is calling me directly instead informing the BBB of their purpose of calling me.  They have my credit card information to refund it directly to the credit card, instead of calling me.  The mini ****** dealer called around 12:30 noon today (Monday, June). Telling me that I have to there to get my refund.  Again the have my information regarding my credit card they can refund the credit card.  I have no desire to go there because bad experiences concerning unfriendly custom services.

      best regard

I bought a car through Las Vegas mini. Never saw the car first. It was at **************. When I got the car I had to take a business trip. I got back from the business trip and it had warranty issues. When it was being serviced at *************. They found an oil leak that the service advisor said it had been there for a long time to get that much buildup. They said the cost of repairs would be $12,000.00. Thats half the cost of the car. The advisor said the leak shouldve been noticed and addressed by ************** upon taking in a vehicle to resell. I have contacted the dealership and asked them to cover the repair. They said if I have a warranty check with them. The warranty doesnt cover leaks I am told. But regardless, the *** dealership said its obvious its been leaking for a long time and should have been addressed before being sold. The car is still registered to the dealership because of the smog being expired by the time they sold vehicle to me. Therefore it should be easy to just give the car back and cancel my contract or have them fix the problem.

The sale took place 0n 6/29/2022. My complaint stems from the facr that I purchased a 2012 Blue Buick Regal,, from Mini of Las Vegas. My problem is after possessing the vehicle for 3 days, it had to be taken back to the dealership because the car wouldn't run. I was told by the dealership it was "no big deal" and they'd fix it. Well, it was a big deal, I went in and told the Sales Manager that I want to return the vehicle on July 3, 2022. That's before the 5 day trial period expired. The sales manager said I couldn't return the vehicle because the car had already been financed. That was not stated when purchasing the car.Once they finally got the vehicle running, they told me they had no idea how long it would continue running. They still refused to accept a return. *************************************** LLC also refused to cooperate in returning the down payment and/or reducing payments. The vehicle was eventually repossessed by AACC, and it is harming the credit report of my friend who loaned me the down payment.because, in explicably, he was listed as the buyer, when it was supposed to be me and he the co-signer.

I sold my car back to Mini Cooper on 5/23/2022. I have tried to reach them about the extended warranty I purchased. I only received the tire warranty of $222.10 on 6/30/2022, but I have not been reimbursed for the extended warranty on the car as of yet. I need the warranty back that I paid for and was not able to utilize

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/07) */ I have tried several attempts to reach out to ******* **** and will continue to reach out until I get in contact. I did see that she sold us her car in May and cancelled products on the vehicle that she had bought on the original date of purchase. One product had expired which was the maintenance package. She did have tire and wheel that was still active. That product was cancelled on 5/23 and a check was cut and issued and mailed to them for their refund on 6/20/22. Not sure what other refund she was expecting or if the check for the tire and wheel made it to her successfully, but I will certainly find out.
