I made a reservation at Marche Bacchus through open table for dinner for my wife and I for 5:00 pm 2/14/2023 to celebrate Valentines Day. Marche Bacchus required a credit card to make a reservation so that they could charge a $50 per person if we canceled. We had dinner on 2/14 at a total cost of $396.21 paid with my credit card. On 2/16 the restaurant ran an additional charge of $100 as a no show charge. I immediately called the restaurant and talked to to ***** the Manager who assured me that he would take care of it. Someone else called me a few minutes later to get my card number in order to remove the charge. Since the $100 charge was only pending I was confident they would remove the charge. I was disappointed this morning 2/17 to see that they did in fact charge me the $100. I want my $100 refunded because I honored my reservation and the $100 charge for a no show is fraudulent. **************** and his wife dined with us on Valentine's *** and was incorrectly charged a cancelation fee of $100. On February 16th, **************** called and spoke to our manager, *****, to let us know he had been incorrectly charged. I contacted him shortly after that conversation to sincerely apologize for our error, and to let him know that I would be processing the refund. Shortly after that conversation, I processed the refund. **************** stated that he was looking for the refund on his statement the next morning, February 17th, however, refunds can take up to 72 hours to process according to the Merchant Credit Card processing company. The refund did post to his account within 72 hours. I have personally spoken again to ****************, today, February 24th, upon receiving this letter. He stated that he thought refunds would be processed immediately and accepted my explanation. We definitely made a mistake for which we are sincerely sorry. We did our best to correct as quickly as possible. Just a point of note, this is the first BBB complaint we have received in 16 years of owning March Bacchus.
