I viewed the property and was told I had to pay $195.00 to hold the room for rent as the deposit for move-in on Thursday. I paid via cash app on Tuesday but I informed Michael ********* the same day a few hours later that I changed my mind I wanted my deposit of $195.00 back. He refused to refund the refund of the deposit even though I was not renting the room.Review from Jen B

I spent 6 months at Vision House. It was a good experience for me because I tried getting sober on my own and wasn't able to. I am happy to say that I have stayed sober ever since I left Vision House. I was very comfortable living there and if I ever needed help again I would absolutely go back to Vision House. It's in a good location, it's neat and clean and most importantly, it is very well managed. Thanks to ****, the owner, for giving me a chance and for believing in me. I would like to inform you that this business is an absolute fraud. I went there in hopes of being safe after leaving an abusive boyfriend, and I knew that there was no drinking allowed and staff on the premises at all times in halfway houses. When I got there I was told I could pay $155, but if I paid $185 I would get a room with three other women. I just got a job and could not afford the 185, so I was forced to sleep in the front room with at least 10 other homeless men, and they were all coming off drugs so I thought. I have never been so scared in my life. The owner offered me through his manager and option. I could become a manager, and get a room with the other women if I did what the owner requested. The owner instead of talking to you would completely go off and yell at me while giving me instructions about where to go to get food for the house. Once the owner realized that I would not allow him to yell at me, I received an f you text on my phone. I thought it was from my abusive ex, but when I looked up the number I realized it came from vision house. When I got back from work I was immediately told that this female that was a heroin addict, and I found out was getting her drugs from the owner in exchange for sex physically attacked me and started to scream at me to get out of the house. I was terrified so I called the police, and they came. I said I didn't want to press charges, I just wanted her to stop and to be safe. The police officer started asking me questions because I found out the facility was only supposed to have 19 individuals in the vision house, but it had the manager says upwards of maybe 50 people there. I went to bed and I woke up to get ready for work the next morning only to meet the female again and the owner was there as well. The owner told me I had to leave the house. I had just paid him my $185 to start staying in the females room, and I was receiving help from the veterans and they had just delivered my food, but he kicked me

There is not one word of truth to her review.
Unfortunately this lady had severe mental problems and had to be discharged because she was scarring the hell out of everyone as she was hearing voices in her head and strange paranoid rantings.
We gave gave her the option to go to a mental health center for an evaluation but she refused and subsequently she was discharged.

I did a lot of research before picking a halfway house for my daughter. I decided on Vision House because after visiting the place, I found that it had a good management team in place and was professionally run. It was neat and clean and in a convenient location. They also had a well-stocked kitchen and refrigerator for any new residents who are struggling financially in the beginning of their sobriety. I would highly recommend Vision House for anyone who has a loved one struggling with substance abuse.
