I went to Crown Electric on 5/4/24 to inquire about getting a tattoo. My husband and I spoke with an artist who stated he could do what I wanted done. We decided on the price of $600, we made an appt for 11am the next day , 5/5/24. Once we arrived I saw the sketch he'd drawn out. I immediately let him know that the design he had had drawn was not the one I'd wanted, but went with it anyhow for the sake of not having him re-draw the sketch over. Everything began fine nothing out of the ordinary. The tattoo took 4 hrs to complete, during that time he had to stop and do a couple of piercings, he ate lunch, smoked a couple of cigarettes, and to added insult to injury by disclosing that he had a "bowel movement". Once the tattoo was complete it was beautiful. He did advise that if the derma skin bandage leaked to take it off. The next morning it was leaking badly, and I was took off the bandage as he'd advised and continued to to care for it just as I had my other tattoos. As the days have gone by this tattoo has escalated in extreme pain, it is completely crusted over, swollen and red. I have been to the hospital twice, 5/11/24 and 5/14/24. On 5/11/24 I was told the tattoo was infected all over, given a shot of antibiotics as well as a prescription of them as well as prednisone (steroid for inflammation). On 5/14/24 I was diagnosed with MRSA, given a tetanus shot, and prescribed an additional antibiotic for bacterial infections. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE HAD A STAPH INFECTION. I have contacted the business, the owner blamed everything on me stating that I didn't have an infection when I left there. I asked for some portion of my money back she has refused. I recently discovered that they only have a business license, and do not possess any regulations within the state of ******. The only thing they are want to do is to have me come back to the shop and they say they can fix it, there is no fixing this, I am scarred. I will not give them another chance to mess me up.

Your page doesn't allow me to offer a complete explanation from the owner, ***********************. We have written statements from my entire staff regarding this lady and her husband and their aggressive and unacceptable behavior in my shop. My name is **************** and I'm the other owner. We have been serving ********* for over 20 years. We have NEVER been written up by the Health District for an infection. There's a reason for that. Infections don't come from shops that are following Nevada State Regulations. If shops are passing out infections, they will no longer be in business. Our shop follows ALL regulations and safety precautions. This lady was touching her unhealed infected tattoo in front of my staff. She had completely disregarded the aftercare which we are ordered to provide. She removed the protective "second skin" within hours of the tattoo which she should not have done. She lathered layers of petroleum type ointment which she was told not to do. We don't compensate for "painful healing". A tattoo is painful. Healing is painful. BUT if a customer follows our aftercare there will be NO INFECTIONS. We've been doing this for over 20 years. Crown Electric Tattoo Company is one of the oldest shops in town for a reason. We offer quality work, great customer service and a positive experience. This lady is hoping for a free tattoo at this point. There will be NO REFUND, NO COMPENSATION. Our artist sat for many hours doing this work and he has been paid for it. He did a great job. Doing cover-up work is a special skill. This lady was asking for something very difficult, and she got what she paid for. It was her care of the tattoo after she left the shop that caused her to get infected. We are not responsible for that. Thank You.
