Titan towing company tagged my recently purchase project truck on 04/29/2025 at 06:58 am the sticker tag 48hrs to fix or move the truck titan towing towed my truck same day 04/29/25 at 10:03 am I have proof pictures and videos

    Business Response

    Date: 04/30/2025

    Good morning Sir,

Your vehicle was authorized for an immediate tow as a safety issue because your ignition was punched as your vehicle looked like it was abandoned.  The fees associated with the tow were paid by management and not yourself so I'm not sure where you are coming up with your dollar amount.  Should you decide to keep the vehicle at the community it must be contained within your garage and not on community owned and maintained property until the vehicle is in compliance since it has a suspended registration, no moving temp and no insurance.

I am filing a formal complaint regarding my recent experience with Titan Towing, as I believe their conduct to be both unprofessional and potentially deceptive.I contacted their office to address a "warning notice" I received, which cited violations that do not apply to my vehiclemy registration is current, and the vehicle is fully operational and compliant with all requirements. When I called to request clarification, I was connected with a representative named ******* Unfortunately, the conversation was abruptly and unprofessionally terminated by the representative, with no attempt to resolve my concern. I have the call fully recorded.I am requesting a clear explanation as to why I received this notice, as the information presented appears inaccurate and misleading. This type of communication, especially when directed toward law-abiding vehicle owners, gives the impression of predatory and dishonest practices. If this is representative of how the organization conducts business, I urge the BBB to investigate. Consumers deserve transparency and professionalismnot tactics that could easily be mistaken for a scam.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We are required to place violation stickers on cars that may be in violation of the lease agreements signed by residents. If the vehicle taggers have not seen vehicles move after 48 hours, they will then place a tag on vehicles to alert the owner of the violation.  The lease for this community requires vehicles to be in operating condition and to be used daily, hence not stored.  If this isn't the case, this owner simply needs to move the vehicle showing it is operational and it is not being stored on property.  I would suggest that when contacting a business to inquire as to why, do so in the same professional manner for which you would like to be responded to. **************** is there to attempt to assist you and did not place the violation sticker on the vehicle. Treating them with respect is expected if one requires an respectable response. Our calls are recorded as well.

I am rejecting this response because: This response still does not address my original question. I am increasingly concerned by the unprofessional handling of this matter, both in this communication and in responses Ive seen on platforms like Yelp. Your **************** Representative failed to provide a clear answer regarding how your drivers determine whether a vehicleone that has been consistently parked in the same spot nightly for over two yearshas moved.
I have also spoken with my front office, and they agree that this situation is unacceptable. I would appreciate a direct and thorough explanation, not this ***** and unprofessional back and forth. HOW DO YOUR DRIVERS/TAGGERS KNOW THAT MY CAR HAS NOT BEEN MOVED?

Try to have a better day,

My truck was taken without notice. I know I am on the guest list at my boyfriend's house. I know there wasn't a notice on it when I was driving it last night. I parked it at 10pm after coming home from going out to eat and came out at 0530 to find my truck not there to go to work. This is absurd. I know I'm registered on the HOA guest list.

    Good morning,

You were in fact given notice, any vehicles parked in posted visitor parking with signs that specifically state permit required on the dashboard between the hours of 10p-5a require exactly that.  Visitors can apply for variances through the homeowner they are visiting and you currently do not have one nor has one been issued since. Your truck was warned on 2/5/25 which gave you ample time to reach out to obtain a temporary visitor pass as your vehicle was not towed until 3/17/25.  State law requires a vehicle to be warned no less than 48 hours prior to a tow for a parking violation and not exactly 48 hours prior.  This tow was lawful and in compliance with all NAC/NRS codes and statutes.  Please make sure you reach out to ************** to obtain a permit prior to parking it in the visitor lot to avoid another tow. Have a nice day.

My car was towed on Sunday 3/13/2025 at 7:55 am. I was charged $341.45, $101.40 after hours fee, $20.49 Fuel Surcharge and $52.98 Total days in storage and the total ?? $463.34 By XYZ Towing Inc., dba Titan Towing- CPCN #****. I was told by the receptionist that the company charges overnight and after hours fee because it was on a Sunday and not on Regular business hours. But they have a paper on the wall that says, Business hours are 24/7 and Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00 pm Saturday-Sunday 8:00am-4:00pm. I want to complain the after hours fee and the Night fee rate. It was 7:55 am when my car was towed. Why do they get to charge $341.45 night fee just because it was on a Sunday morning and not on regular hours. May you please help me get rid off this ridiculous rule that allowes XYZ towing inc., dba Titan Towing-CPCN #**** to over charge people.

Dear *********** am writing to file a formal complaint against Titan Towing for the theft of my vehicle and their subsequent refusal to return it. On Sunday, January 26, 2025, my car was towed from *********************** without my permission, stealing my property at my residence. I believe this to be an unjustified action, as it is not illegal to not move your vehicle, or should be allowed to tow peoples cars all on the assumption a car is being stored. How can a car be stored, when you live at the residence? This is very predatory behavior and is clear this business profits off scamming people. Upon contacting Titan Towing to inquire about my vehicle, I was informed that they are refusing to release it back to me. I have made several attempts to resolve the matter directly with them, but they have not provided a valid explanation or offered any resolution. I am concerned that they have unlawfully seized my vehicle, and I am now unable to access it without any clear justification.I am requesting the BBBs assistance in investigating this matter and helping me recover my vehicle. Additionally, I am seeking guidance on my legal rights in this situation, as I believe this may involve unlawful towing practices. Please find the relevant details below for your review:Company Name: Titan Towing Date of Incident: Sunday, January 26, 2025 Location of Towing: **************************************************************** Vehicle Information: 2011 ********** Jetta Silver/Grey Attempts to Resolve: By contacting the company, who is refusing to return my car in the space I park every time I drive my car. There is no laws that make it illegal for owners to have to move their cars every 48 hours. I would greatly appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and any support you can provide to help resolve this issue. Please feel free to contact me at ************ or ************************* for any additional information.Thank you for your time and assistance.Sincerely, ****** ******

On Wednesday, January 22nd at 1:34pm a bright orange sticker was place on this vehicle that stated the owner had 48 hours to move the vehicle as the property does not allow for stored/inoperable vehicles. When signing a lease agreement with this property, people leasing agree to maintain vehicles and are expected to have vehicles in running order. The sticker placed on the vehicle stated the violation as well as the time frame for which they had to move it. On Sunday, January 26th, the vehicle still had not been moved. This is why it was towed.  All vehicles towed are then reported to Metro so that they are aware of the vehicles location.  When living on private property (apartment/condos) they require rules to be followed, of which again, are agreed to by the renter. This vehicle was even given additional days to move it, which did not happen, therefore it was towed. After reviewing the photos taken at the time this vehicle was tagged and looking at photos take prior to being towed, this vehicle was not moved. This vehicle owner stated on a recorded call to our facility that he had moved it which is not a true statement. It is advised that the owner of this vehicle pick it up , showing proof of ownership as fees continue to accumulate daily. It is also advised that when they do pick it up that they conduct themselves in a more controlled manner than when they called. This was a valid and legal tow.

This vehicle was tagged (given notice) 7 times!!  It was towed for being stored, inoperable, no plates and a nuisance(due to being tagged 7 times) which the owner of this vehicle stated it was inoperable at which time a setout fee would be added. One must correct ALL issues addressed on the tag of which again, was tagged 7 times.  This vehicle has NOT been auctioned yet as there is a legal process to follow prior to auction.  This vehicle WILL be auctioned on the 14th of February if it is not picked up by the owner. Fees are due at the time of retrieval and the owner of this vehicle has been explained the fees as well as what is needed to pick it up. If people are going to put in a complaint, they should tell the truth! We appreciate the ability to set the record straight. Have a nice day.

The community for which you live requires all vehicles to be currently registered and in good running condition.  They also do not allow vehicles to be stored which is the case with your vehicle as it does not run and is currently being stored. All of this is part of your signed rental agreement. Since this is private property, vehicles can be towed by the property owner or their designated agent once tagged and given a 48 hour notice to fix the violation. (No notice is necessary for fire lane, handicapped or egress violations)

After reviewing your complaint, this property has requested immediate towing as you were parked in an assigned spot. Anyone authorized to park on this property must have current registration and would be directed to park in specific areas. this was a legal tow and unfortunately we are unable to negotiate on fees.

AGAIN, SINCE THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY, THE OWNER / MANAGEMENT OF THE PROPRTY HAS STATED WHERE YOU PARKED IS UNAUTHORIZED! THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO HAVE ANY VEHICLES TOWED THEY DEEMED ARE UNAUTHORIZED OR PARKED IN UNDESIGNATED AREAS. WE DO NOT AND CAN NOT TOW JUST TO TOW. And according to the notes on this account, you stated you were having to move out and were given the green light to park there. That would be incorrect as that is an unauthorized area to park.

The issue with Titan towing began on 11 1224 when they came to my apartments and tagged my car for a violation of tags the same day they were due and gave me a 48 hour notice. My car is registered with the apartment building and the license plate to a crew fees through a ******************** company when the city themselves would not find you as much is ridiculous. The fact that they returned and completely removed, the history of my tags is where I draw the line a complete must be filed because this is obstruction of property.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/20/2024

Per NRS ********, we are unable to tow for expired registration ONLY. We have a list of parking requirements that are in the rental agreements of which renters sign and are to make sure their vehicles are in compliance. We are then required to walk the property and to tag vehicles with warning notices when they are not in compliance.  Your vehicle did not contain a DMV sticker and was therefore not in compliance with the community vehicle rules.  This is a warning along with a reminder to bring your vehicle to community standards. Unfortunately it will continue to be tagged and if it is tagged 3 times in a 6 month period, it will then be towed as a "Nuisance" of which we can and will tow the vehicle.  If the registration renewal has been taken care of and they are waiting on a new tag, there should be no issues. To avoid a future notice, they may want to obtain a "Temp Movement" permit. This can be obtained from the *** website once they log into their account. They can then print it and place it on the passenger side of the front windshield.

Our vehicle was towed from our assigned parking spot at my apartment complex. We recently purchased the vehicle and two days prior. Just put the parking pass in the window. It was visible from the outside of the vehicle. They are forcing us to pay to get it back, we have photos from the night before, and you can clearly see the car in the background and the parking pass hanging from the mirror
