I am a commercial truck driver. I signed up with RTDS for some additional training to remove some restrictions on my license. I paid them $1957 for this training. The scheduling process was very confusing and convoluted. The company said I missed my scheduled dates and the I needed to pay $200 more before they would reschedule me. I never received the notification for scheduling via text message. I asked for a refund and they refused, saying they had to pay a trainer and tester $200. I asked for a refund minus the $200, so $1757 and they refused saying they dont offer any refunded after the initial sign up date. After the fact I started looking around and asking other school what they do and that amount of hours and I found out that the services I was signed up for was not sufficient for what the *************** requires. I never received any services from this company other than a convoluted and confusing incorrect schedule.I feel robbed and scammed by this company. What gives them the right to keep my $1957? The appointment I missed was incorrect and inaccurate. Secondly with that said I went to another school that provided the sufficient training, which was $3000 and 80 hours of training. RTDS said they could do the training in 2 hours. Which is false. This was never about the $200 to reschedule, its about the insufficient training that this company was telling me was sufficient. I could have rescheduled for $200 and saved myself $843 by doing so. It was brought to my attention that the training was not going to be enough for state requirements and I paid $3000 for the proper training to the state of Nevadas standards. This company is a fraud and making false promises and then after the fact changing the terms of their contract enabling them to steal money that isnt theirsBusiness response

This Letter is to confirm the Enrollment of ************************ ****** with RTDS.
The Agreement was signed on April 4th, 2023 for Automatic Restriction removal Program.
Program cost - $ 1,500
Additional 2 hours of Personal Training as requested -$ 400.P
Total amount charged including credit card fee - $ 1,957
On April 12th, student has received his schedule of his Training and Driving Exam for the following dates (April 22nd and April 23rd , 2023 ). Student has confirmed his attendance in written form.
On April 24th, 2023 the Instructor informed the office that ********************* was absent for both Training and Driving Exam without prior notification. On the same day, the students called the office to let us know that he misunderstood the dates of his appointment. According to our school Policy, students that do not show up for the appointment without 24 hour call will be considered a No-Show. No-Show students will be charged $ 200.
As a response, ********************* has refused to make the payment. Thereafter he mentioned that he found another facility and requested a refund.
According to the School agreement and Cancelation Policy that ********************* has signed, no refund can be issued after 3 business days from the Enrollment.********************* mentioned that never received the notification for scheduling via text message, which is false statement. You can find attached his confirmation of attendance.
I would like to also point out that according to State regulations, a CDL holder does not require to take a full course for beginners. Since ********************* already has a commercial driving license and had the intention to remove a restriction only, we offered to him a refresher course so he can practice the skills that he needed. A refresher course it is less costly then a full course for beginners. That being said we did not get any advantage to mislead the customer. There was no need to pay to a different facility $ **** just attend a class with beginners and learn what he already knew as a commercial truck driver.
