On February 22 of 2024 I signed a deal with the dealer for a 2002 Chevrolet suburban and the color black. The day after I purchased the vehicle it would not power on and it was not drivable. The dealership had it towed, and they jumpstarted the vehicle and sent me home the same day the following week I noticed that the vehicle had an oil leak and a coolant leak as well as a few other cosmetic problems at the dealer, said they would fix. The vehicle has been dropped off to the dealer on five different occasions each occasion the dealer hand me back my keys and tell me that my problem is fixed. I have not received a smog check on the vehicle from the dealer that states that the vehicle is safe to drive or a checklist or any documentation mentioning the correction of the problems listed above. I would just like for the dealer to take my safety into consideration and fix the problems listed above as promised.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:I have returned to the delearship to have issues resolved. And am met with the same issues 1 day and a half after visiting the location again. Only one issue was fixed and it seems mechanic just put a bandaid on problem. We are still struggling with the same problem. I have had issues with this vehicle since the day I purchased it with Automax LV.
Sincerely,

I called Automax and spoke with *************************. He told me he was in charge as sales manager, but I found out later he was only a clerk. I needed brakes replaced on my truck and I let him take my truck to fix the brakes. He told me that they would be repaired at Automax, but weeks went by, and finally, I asked for my truck back. I had to get the police involved and he finally returned it after a few weeks with a blown out tire, a dent in the side, personal items missing, and nails in another tire. They agreed to replace the blown out tire, but the one they bought is very small and not even rated for the truck weight. The tire with the nails, I replaced with a matching tire because the size was off. Now I have to buy two new tires that will hold the weight of my truck. The brakes were never replaced and I think he only took the truck for his own personal use with no intention of fixing the brakes. I just dont want him to be able to do this with any other customers because it was deceit and lies.Business response

***********,
You made your first monthly payment to us on 5/5/22 then the vehicle broke down on you due to engine failure. The engine was covered under factory warranty which is why you were referred to ******* dealership. You contacted us inquiring about a loaner vehicle and we do not offer loaners at this time. We informed you that ******* provides loaners free of charge. You were then denied of a loaner vehicle at ******* due to not being able to meet their requirements such as having valid drivers license and a credit card under your name, full coverage insurance etc which is outside of our power to assist. You dropped the vehicle off at ******* and the engine repair was done on 9/20/22 and you were notified that the vehicle is ready for pickup same day.
From a financial institutions perspective, payments are due when they are due regardless of the vehicle condition. You were still issued a 3 month extension on your payments as goodwill due to the inconvenience, which resulted in a change in your next payment date going from 6/5/22 to 9/5/22.
Unfortunately you failed to meet your obligations and as a result your account went into default. You were then notified via text, email and certified letter that your account is in default as well as a 10 day grace ****** to pay your account current. As of today your account is 60 days delinquent and any account past due beyond 30 is days is subject to repossession.
As a dealership we never look to repossess any vehicles at anytime and we do our best to work with our clients in anyway possible as you can clearly see above. After multiple attempts to get this matter rectified and getting no response from you, we were forced to collect our collateral and to charge off this account. As we would love to assist our clients in anyway possible, I would like to extend one last offer to resolve this matter. We are willing to issue a 5 day extension on your account which would give you until Monday 11/07/2022 to pay your account current, and redeem your vehicle. Please feel free to contact us so we can over the past due balance on your account and hopefully get to a resolution. We can be reached at ************
