I dropped off my white 2012 ******* sonata GLS to the shop January 7 of 2021 due to engine failure. The owner of the shop told me he would have it fixed within a couple weeks. I waited a year and a half receiving my car back around July 20 of 2022 I paid this man in full total of $3700.00 for engine overhaul (replacement) a month later, the car broke down again with the same issue, verifying that the problem had not been fixed I asked for a refund he did not want to issue a refund. He said that he would warranty the repair so I let him do that. After months and months of him telling me my car would be ready or that he is working on it. It is now October 2, 2023. I have not had my car in two years and he still will not issue refund or repair. I would like this matter to be looked into further by an organization and see what my options are. Shop owner. Also refuses to give me any paperwork regarding my vehicle. I have photos of my car inside of the shop. Dated April seventh of 2022. Granted he was giving me other customers cars to drive, but I was fully responsible for repairs that needed to be made on those vehicles. I have photos and text message receipts for proof.Business response

to bbb number 1: the vehicle is been finish since september 10 2023 the reason for the car took that long was becouse the car needed engine harness as per customer request customer stade that the harness to be replaced, he never comeback with the money, the price is $650.00 for a used harness parts and labor he the customer told me that has no money to pay for the repair. the reason for the vehicle took to long for the repair was because he pay for that repair in instalment portion of the payment and took to long to finish the payment in full took him 1 year to complete the payments. now that the car is finish he is making a complaint to you. why he did'nt do it before the car was finish he complaint until now because he knows that the car is done. and want to take advantage of the situation.
