This HOA changed their HOA fees & didn't let me know my payment was late until I had racked up month of late ******************* until they just sent me a letter on Nov 7th 2023. They have never sent me any other letter saying I was late in a timely fashion all the way until now. I would like the late *************** other fees to be waived. But this company never answers the ********* don't leave VM because I work for a bank & can't accept calls during the day. I want the shady practices of this company on display so hopefully people think twice before purchasing. I have a neighbor that has a house on the ********** will make sure to let any potential buyer of how Shady & unforgiving these HOA have been since my 12 years of living here.Customer response

The group is condescending and doesn't respond in a timely manner, but demands urgency from the community members they are supposed to serve. They selectively/consistently enforce rules, sending ridiculous and inaccurate infraction letters with old photos, while ignoring community concerns/repairs - I informed management that community fences were loose and need to be repaired before they collapsed and injured someone. Monthly fees increase with nothing to show for it. During the summer of 2022, I had received an infraction about garbage cans in view, I corrected it right away and informed the Hoa by post and now by email, but they continue to resend the same infraction over and over again with an outdated photograph and now are demanding a hearing - perhaps their inspector is confusing my neighbor's garbage cans with mine (at times the wind blows them in front of my house, I've previously discussed this with the manager when he was parked in front of my property) which are clearly labeled and hidden in view. This feels targeted because I had previously voiced neighborhood concerns. I just want an updated inspection to resolve this issue so the inaccurate infractions stop coming. I'm a hard working citizen/essential worker during a pandemic and have no time for an unnecessary hearing online or otherwise.Business response

This singular Complainant has been educated but fails to understand/accept the role, directives, and position of the management agent verse their elected ***** of ********** Such matters by the decision making body, i.e. their *****, are better found by the complainant attending and participate in the Owners Comment and Discussion periods during the ***** meetings.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: demanding I attend an inconvenient meeting when I already informed them of my busy work schedule and reached out multiple times in writing in causing further stress that I don't need during a pandemic.

I am a sickly, disabled 65yr old citizen, that's been in and out of the hospital. Yes at times I have been late on my payments, due to being hospitalized with strokes, that had made me learn how to walk again, eat again, and has also affected the left side of my brain. Also have had Covid 2 times, have COPD, and have 3 herniated disc in my lower back. I have recieved letters stating they would take my home from me, when I call I get no where and have to rob Peter to pay Paul to make the payment. They give you no help, or even seem to care about your situations. I made payment and also submitted a letter to see if some maybe even all the fees they attach could be reversed due to my health issues, and haven't heard a thing back. Now I'm behind 2 months, which I pay 170.00 a month and my total amount owed is 647.00!!! This is outrageous!! How can this be humanly ok?? 200.00 for fees?? Where are these fees going? They couldn't be going in the gated community where I live, trash everywhere, garbage bins in the middle of the street, and if they haven't noticed were still in a partial pandemic. I'm a homeowner and need my home. No one has called to ask if I needed any help, or if a payment plan would help my situation.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/18) */ We understand Mrs. S******** situation and health issues. As Mrs. Shepperd stated in her complaint, she has been late several times in the past. We have helped Mrs. Shepard by removing late fees and offering payment plans several times. Unfortunately, the Board of Directors for Mrs. S********* community will no longer allow us to waive any late fees for Mrs. Shepherd. We have helped Mrs. Shepperd several times in the past. Honestly, its a bit insulting that she would file a complaint against us after the numerous times that we have worked with her to bring her account in good standing. At the end of the day, Mrs. Shepperd has an obligation to pay her assessments on time and we can only help so much.
