This issue has been reported to the ***** IC3 cyber crime and fraud department as well.This is a small transaction but I suspect that they may be doing this to many more people so I'm choosing to report it.This complaint is against video game companies Rare and / or XBox Game Studios for an online video game they sell called Sea of Thieves available on XBox, Windows -- as well as the platform selling the currency for the game named Steam.Summary: They are selling digital goods which they have blocked people from using without disclosing that the purchasers have been blocked before the sale. They are also refusing to refund the fraudulent transactions.Background:- Steam is a video game platform that sells video games as well as digital currencies to be used in the games.- In this video game named Sea of Thieves you sail ships around a virutual world, performing various tasks, interacting with other players, and combating other ships and players in the world.- They allow you to customize these ships in various ways such as cosmetics, paint, and other visual details.- One of the methods of customizing these ships is naming them. This is important as other players can see the names of ships that they are near.- They have a system in place to prevent players from naming their ships in offensive ways. If you attempt to name your ship something offensive it does not allow you to save the name.- They sell a digital product called a "Ship Rename Deed" that allows you to rename your ships.Both companies have repeatedly shut down communication on the matter and I am left with no money and no usable product.A full description of the incident is available on request and does not fit in this form field.
