On 3/19/22, I met ******* Adame and took him around my property and answered his questions about adding a home addition in my backyard. At the end of inspection, ******* recommended sending his plumber to inspect the plumbing and sewer line at a cost of $250.00. He would need $7,500.00 to develop a full set of plans to submit to city for permit before construction can start. After visit, he emailed invoice for $7,750.00 to start project. On 3/20/22, I paid the invoice in full via Intuit Quickbooks. On 3/23/22, I met with ******* and architect ************************* for on-site review, taking measurements to start architectural plans. On 4/1/22, ******* and ***** emailed first plans for review. I replied that I needed time to review and make revisions. ******* had ***** develop room layout suggestions. On 4/23/22, I emailed ******* stating that I was already working on revising the plans. I would email him once I was finished. On 10/5/22, I finally emailed ******* with my revised plans of what I wanted for my home addition. On 11/10/22, ******* met me at my property to review my printout plans. ******* pointed out problems such as the carport rooftop structural issue and converting fireplace for two-way use. We agreed he would send his crew to inspect if the chimney can be converted. He also said a soil report will need to be ordered and scheduled. On 1/30/23, I called and emailed ******* on getting updates of where we are with my project. ******* replied there was a very large miscommunication on what the next steps were.On 2/2/23, I emailed back with my understanding of what the expectations were. I included my new revised plans to avoid any miscommunication so we can have ***** finalize plans to submit for permits. ******* emailed back saying he will review and get back to me. I tried many times since to reach ******* with no response.I would like to resolve this issue with partial refund for services not rendered. I am willing to accept a partial refund of $6,000.00.

Adame Contstruction stole, misrepresented, and lied about their ability to provide a home addition to my home that I share with my husband. This resulted in losses of $115,000 and has left us devasted and we are seeking criminal charges as he, ******* Adame, has shown he is a criminal and ignores all accountability for his actions. He has also employed his children to commit these crimes on his behalf in favor of the owners of the **** This company has been shut down and any reference of this individual in any other company will be complained upon as well.

I had a complete kitchen remodel and master bath remodel done by Adame construction which began in July 2022. They finished end of September 2022. Aside from the lack of responses when I raised issues. The final result was less than desirable. I had to have them come back out to fix things which should have been done in the first place. Caulking of all counters and shower wasnt done in the first place. The shower it self is falling apart now. The wet wall system they pieced together which should have been 3 pieces total I have 4. Seams showing, chips they did and couldnt or wouldnt fix. Now here we are 7 months later all the caulking is falling out and or separating and it seems this business is in trouble with the BBB and others. Really ***** when you spend so much money and get c*** work with an owner who doesnt care about his customers!

Adame Construction abandoned a job and resulted in losses to me personally of $80,000. I am now left with a demolition at my home and have to hire a new contractor to finish the job. This company is facing numerous contractors board violations which are criminal in nature and all documented on the ****** contractors board web site. Do not do any business with this fraudulent company. They do not have a license anymore either.

On October 1, 2022 we paid *********************, a representative from Adame Construction, for his kitchen designs. On December 9, 2022, we signed a contract and paid a deposit of $32,269. 19, which is 1/2 of the amount quoted, to complete a remodel of our kitchen. On Monday, January 30, *********************************** emailed ** that work would begin the 2nd week of February. He mentioned that he had let 70% of his ************* due to inconsistencies in their performance. When the 2nd week of February came and went without any communication from Mr. ********************* ***************************** messaged Mr. ********************* asking for a personal meeting. Mr. ******************** never contacted **. On March 1st, 2023, ******* went to the ******************** office and was told that Mr. ******************** would be contacting ** by March 3. No contact was ever made. On March 7 we sent a message that we would like to end our agreement and wanted the company to return our deposit. We have not had a response from Adame Construction. We have completely lost our confidence in this business and have no desire to let them do anything to our kitchen.

I did my due diligence! I checked the BBB, ****************** ************** I actually WALKED through a house that was my floorplan that ******* had completed. I signed a complete home remodel on Jul 25, 2022 for $162,306.05 with Adame Construction. I also signed a complete window replacement contract August 2. $33,133.02. Total $197,165.51. ******* told me I had to pay 50% down hold my place in line & purchase of all materials, which I did, Jul 26. $81,153.04. This was for work to start around Jan 1, 2023 with the intent that we would actually move out of the house temporarily.. Around Sept 15, 2022 ******* informed me that a client had canceled & he could start my job on Oct 1. I QUICKLY found temporary arrangements & agreed. I was billed on Oct 5 25% on demolition. Which I paid. On Nov 4, I was billed another 20% after inspections passed. $32,461.21. This is when I started asking when the appliances, cupboards/cabinets were to be delivered. ******* assured me they only take 3 days to arrive.Windows: I was billed for 50% for materials on Aug 3. $16,566.51. On Dec 21, they started tearing out the outside pop-outs of the windows for replacement, it has now been exposed to the elements since December 21.That was the last work Adame did. They destroyed the INSIDE & OUTSIDE of our home.On Feb 9 ******* texted me, We are basically BK but we qualified for ERC money, we are waiting for ******** intention is to finish your home once we get the money. Isnt it dishonest to use ERC money to pay for my ***************** improvements?******** last correspondence to me was an email (summarized) how unprofitable 2022 was, they no longer have credit with vendors/subcontractors. The only way they can complete my job is to discuss a cost plus contract. They would be happy to manage it at no extra cost to me. (HUH? I get to pay for my job twice?)They left my home a total mess inside & out. It is uninhabitable & we are essentially homeless.

In November of 2022 I contracted Adame Construction to purchase and mount a specialized fence for my property. They asked for the entire material purchase up front. I paid over 5K as a deposit. In January of 2023 I requested an update and was told that they were having internal issues and needed a few weeks to regroup. I February I received a similar message. Now all my requests for updates go unanswered. I have asked for my deposit to be returned and have been ghosted.

Adame Construction has delayed this project stating responses such as 1.) ordering wrong materials 2.) not providing dates when workers will come to site 3.) laying off employees 4.) workmen's comp cancellation 5.) delay in communicating operations workflow of project. We have been communicating with Adame Construction, specifically ***********************************. Delays in project continuation have ranged from days to weeks. The room addition and the master bathroom is not complete. Adame construction received a final payment due by us approximately one month ago. Work has not continued since.

I am rejecting this response because:

As of 2/21/2023 @1430 hrs, the contracted work is not complete. Here is my evidence. Your system will not allow me to add more files.

1.) Onyx installation to the arch of master bathroom window. Contractor had an opportunity to have this installed during the summer of 2022; this was the perfect temperature setting to install the two pieces. The crew for Adame demonstrated that if onyx is installed during the cold season the combination of torch heat and cold environment would cause the onyx to crack. This was demonstrated to us by the crew using a sample piece.

2.) Other missing work is completion of all electrical work, missing light fixtures, outlets and light cover missing, closure and seal of drywall cuttings electrical crew made in the garage that are still open, complete installation of mini split unit inside of room and outside, stucco to areas that were damaged by hvac individual made when he ran wiring through the outside wall.

I also do not believe that the city has approved the hvac installation either since the work has not been completed.

      Thank you.

On November 5, 2021 I entered into a contract with ADAME Construction for a master bathroom remodel which began on January 26, 2022 and has yet to be completed. Thought out the project, poor craftsmanship, material damaged by employees of ADAME Construction, and the installation of tile of different dye lots have resulted in employees of ADAME Construction making the decision to demolish their own work on two separate occasions. During this process, multiple phone calls to the owner, ***********************************, requesting him on site went unanswered. The company choose to have their supervisor/tile installers make decisions for the company effecting the scope of the job. Eventually, I did receive an email reply from the owner, *********************************** that all concerns, repairs, costs would be taken care of. Additional employees from administration of Adame Construction (**** and *********) did come out to my property and established a punch list of items needing to be addressed. Some of these items have been taken care of and as the project nears completion, *********************************** requested a meeting on site. As he looked at the remainder of the punch list (replacing solid surface material on the top/side of a shower bench and repairing texture to drywall damaged during the multiple demolitions during the project) It was at this point ******* went against his written word and declined to pay for the repair of damaged property. He refused to reimburse me for material I was asked by his supervisors to procure and needed to finish the job, and he refused to pay for and install a piece of shower glass which will no longer fit in the space due to circumstances his employees caused. He sited his financial loss with this project and stated he will only be doing the minimal standard to finish the job. I am seeking resolution to have the project finished and to be made financially whole for all expenses *********************************** and his employees (**** and *********) stated they would provide reimbursement for.

We are only going to finish the drywall repairs, for the flooring, Adame was not giving the right to repairs as per the *****************************, makiing this claim nule. On the Shopwer door, customer decided to order a shower door when he was not satisfied with the woprk, making that mistake his and not owrs, thus no refund is eligible and only drywall is to be repaired.

      Complaint: 18203193

I am rejecting this response because:
*******, the owner of Adame Construction has been disconnected from my job, having refused to take my calls or show up on the job site once troubles started with my project.  On 10/12/2022, 9 months after starting this shower remodel, ******* finally arrived on site where I was able to question him about his lack of communication or desire to show up to the job site and his reply was "thats what my Supervisors are paid to do".  Because of his lack of direct involvement I believe he has forgotten some things.

Regarding the shower glass, the shower remodel was looking good with all tile and plumbing complete with his supervisor about to start grouting when his supervisor, *********, told me to have glass measured so it could be installed as soon as he was finished with grouting.  I was hoping to have the shower finished before family arrived to stay with us and the job was already past the 10 days I was told it would take to complete.  It was after the glass was ordered and cut that the job began to go sideways due to grout issues.  So, ********* response regarding the glass is incorrect because at the time his supervisor told me to get going on the glass I was completely satisfied with the job. The shower has been demolished and rebuilt twice since the original measurements and the bench seat, which the glass was cut to fit, is not the same measurement requiring one panel to be re-ordered. As the owner told me, his supervisor runs the job and his supervisor gave me the go ahead to get the glass measured, all prior to the problems starting.  On 8/17/2022 **** and *********, family members to and employees of ******** were on site to make a punch list of items needing to be addressed.  During this on site visit both of them stated they would replace the glass panel but requested they have their glass guy cut the new panel and install all of the glass to reduce their cost.  I did  agree to this.  I also have an email by the owner, dated 6/24/2022 which he agrees to pay for the new glass panel.  ******* should talk to ****************************, and ********* then review his email and reconsider his response.

In response to the floor damage caused by employees of Adame Construction, ********* did order and have delivered a box of material needed to replace the damaged flooring.  I was told by *********, the supervisor for my job, that Adame would pay for my floor company to replace the floor.  I have attached text messages from ********* where he wrote on 6/3/2022 "my boss said that we are good to pay your floor guys to have it fixed."  So, i covered the cost of labor to have floor installers, not a tile installer, replace my flooring and am expecting reimbursement as I was told by ********* supervisor, ********* that I would be.  On 8/17/20222 I was also told by **** and *********, while on site to compile a punch list, that Adame Construction would reimburse the labor cost to repair the floor.  I also have in email from *******, dated 6/24/2022 that he would reimburse for this cost.  So, on 8/22/2022 I paid the labor cost, used the material purchased by Adame Construction to have my bathroom floor repaired.  I am expecting, as promised, reimbursement of $500.00 for this repair.

In his response to this complaint, ******* did not address the reimbursement for solid surface bench material I was asked to procure.  I have had to make 3 separate purchases totaling $460.00 for which I asked for reimbursement.  Each purchase was at the direction of employees of Adame Construction.  On 8/17/2022 I was told by **** and ********* that my cost for material would be reimbursed but then during my 10/12/2022 meeting with *******, he stated he was not going to reimburse me for material I was asked to procure.  I am requesting reimbursement of $460.00 in material fees.

******* also did not address in his response the replacement of the solid bench top and waterfall edge which is not installed properly.  **** and ********* both agreed during their visit that it needed to be redone and they set an appointment for a stone fabricator to look at the project.  On 10/5/2022 a stone fabricator came to my home to evaluate the bench.  He pointed out the issue with the previous install and asked me to get more material and he would pick up the material, cut it in his shop (as opposed to on site as done prior) and get it installed correctly.  I secured the material and called Adame for an appointment.  Instead of getting ********************, I got ******* and his insistence that nothing was wrong with the bench and refusal to repair it.

In Gabriels response to this complaint he states he is only going to repair drywall, which he did state he would do on 10/12/2022.  He said to give him two days and he would text me or email me whom would be out to repair it once he figured that out.  As of today, it has been 28 working days (month and a half) without a response from him or his company.  At this point, I consider Adame Construction to have abandoned their contract to complete my shower remodel.

On 10/12/2022 after ******* told me he would not be reimbursing me for my out of pocket expenses, repairing all of my drywall concerns, small section of base board, shower glass and bench seat, I asked if I needed to take this matter to the ***************** to which he replied "I am a licensed contractor so do what you want".  On 10/12/2022 I did filed a complaint with the State of ****************************** and am awaiting their investigation.  I also will also be consulting an attorney for possible legal action I can take seeking a monetary settlement.

I am requesting that this complaint be openly published on the BBB site.

      Sincerely,

      *********************
