I had a recall on my Audi A8 for the fuel rails to be replaced. When the work was to be done, the intake flaps need to be reset, mine were not and after some miles were driven, the check engine light will come on. My check engine light came on and Audi claimed that they are not responsible for the repair because the car has been driven. I spoke to several Audi mechanics and they stated that the Audi dealership definitely made an error and it was just a matter of time before the check engine light came on. I took my car into the dealership and they stated that the repair would cost about $8K to fix their error. On top of that they wanted to charge me $1000 to replace my spark plugs and cabin air filter. I replaced those items a few months back but they were just padding the bill thinking I would not notice. I would hate for a grandmother to go into their store to have them pad their bill on the back of her social security check. I received a call from Hanna, the executive secretary, and she stated that they were at error and Audi would repair the mistake at their cost and for me not to go to any outside mechanic to fix their mistake. I canceled an appointment to have my car repaired at another mechanic and then I received a call from Colton the service manager. Not only did he say that they would not fix their error, but I would have to sue them to get the job fixed. It sounds like they have been down this road before. I do no want anything extra other than they bring my car back to the condition before they broke it. I loved my car and it worked great until they touched it. I have a video of the repair but it is on an Iphone and your site does not allow uploads form Iphones. I can send it to a phone if needed.
