On January 29th, 2024, I, ******** ****, took my 2011 Jeep Liberty into Jay's Total Auto Care, I told Jay's the problems and they said they could fix them. Jay's said they had worked with my warranty company, AAGI, before. Jay's told my dad they needed $269.60, before they could run a diagnostic check. My dad paid this with his credit card, we left and the next day they said they could not run the diagnostic because they could not turn on the Jeep. The warranty company, AAGI, said they needed an odometer reading before they would cover any costs. They told me I would have to pay for a tipm and then they would be able to turn the car on. The price was $2974.87, (we later found out the price for a tipm is approximately $600.00 to $900.00 and at most 2 hours of labor at most) Jay's suggested my dad, ****** **** take out a loan through a company he used, Acima, and that as soon as he had an odometer reading, the warranty company would pay everything back. My dad did take out this loan, which turned out to be a lease, and Jay's removed $5698.33 + taxes ($6000.00) from this account for a wheel package, I did not get a wheel package. We were led to believe they were just taking out money for the tipm.) They ran two diagnostic checks, one for the electrical, and after the electrical was fixed, they ran one on the engine at a cost of 350 dollars a piece. (I was quoted by Jay's they were $269.60 a piece) with the electrical working, Jay's said they could look at the engine, the engine had to be replaced. I went back to the place where I bought the Jeep from Consumers Fleet & Sales, and was told to talk with Justin E****. On February 27th, Jay's told us to come and get the Jeep, we tried on Febuary 28th, but was told it wasn't ready to tow, on March 4th Jay's told us we could come and get the Jeep. Jay's gave me a check for $221.59 a credit balance. I asked Jay's to remove the tipm and return it, they said they couldn't because of a core charge.

11/3 I dropped off my car at Jay Auto Shop to address the check engine light issue on my 2012 BMW xDrive. The car drives well, and I just needed the code cleared for a smog test. Jay assured me that his shop would take care of everything. 11/06: Jay Auto Shop called, stating that my car needs a new valve cover as it is stuck open, causing the check engine light. They also mentioned that my warranty service approved an engine pin leaks repair. Additionally, they recommended an engine air filter replacement. I requested some time to think about the additional repairs. 11/07: I called Jay Auto Shop to inquire further about their findings. The technician explained that fixing the valve cover issue would clear the code. I approved the repairs, which were estimated at $2,547.4, excluding the warranty coverage. 11/08: I called for an update on my car and was informed it would be ready by Friday (11/10) or no later than 11/13. 11/13: When I called for an update, they started stalling me telling me the technician was out sick. 11/14: The auto shop closed the warranty service case, stating the service was completed, even though the technician was still out sick and had not worked on my car. I found about this information when called the warranty service. 11/15 I called to get update again which I was told technician is still sick. I told them they can not keep my on shop claiming their technician is sick. I need alternative car. So, told to come get some old car until they finished my car. I questioned them why did they close warranty for repair they have not even start, they downplay it they know the job was going to be completed regardless. 11/17 I went to pick the alternative car. 11/21: I called Jay autoshop, and they informed me the technician was back, and work had resumed on my car. 11/29: I was pulled over by the police for driving the alternative car to work for reason registration tag expired. I told the police it was given to by Jay auto shop, and I did not know. The police asked not to drive the car anymore and next time she would give me summon regardless of the owner. I informed Jay Auto Shop about this, and they downplayed the issue, advising me to park the car at my apartment. 11/30 Jay Auto Shop called to inform me that they addressed and completed all possible fixes, but the diagnostic codes persisted. They explained that the car requires software updates to resolve the issue. I communicated to them if I must take the car to dealer to get that done then I am unwilling to make any payments since they unable to repair the original problem of the check engine light. The technician told is technical update and the dealer will perform that task for free. For my curiosity, I called RENO BMW dealer asked them they told that is not true because is over 10yrs nothing under warranty. He told technical update findings is a recommendation and not free service. I then called the technician to tell him about what dealer has told me. The technician gets upset saying he is done working on my car. I told him then I will picking my car and will not be paying anything Later that night Jay car shop owner call me about he promises he will do everything to resolves the issue. And from now I should be communicating with him 12/1 Jay Auto Shop informed me that they took the car to a specialist for a software upgrade, but the issue persists. They also reiterated that my car has a tire TPM issue, with one of the sensors broken. Additionally, they once again suggested that the check engine light code could be cleared by replacing the battery, which would cost $500. 12/5 12/5: After replacing the battery, the check engine light persisted. They identified the alternator as the issue, and the warranty would cover the repairs, including the tire TPM sensor replacement. They awaited my approval. 12/6 I called Jay autoshop to tell the I have approved the repairs and sign it at their online portal. He assured they placed the order car should be ready by Friday 12/8 12/11 12/11: They informed me the car was fixed with no more check engine light, and they planned to run some tests. I should come pick the car the next day. Later the day he text 12/12 Jay autoshop called to tell my is engine is ceased and I told them they kept car over there for more than month giving me run around so they figure it out. He told don’t warranty would cover the replacement. Later day, jay autoshop called that warranty would not cover more than $5,500 because that is value of the car. He told the repairs could amount to $20,000. I told him I brought my car there running and him team has stall me whole time and they finally broke my engine. He told me if want to cut my loss arrange to tow the car from the shop and pay them balance, I owed them. I replied I wanted them to bring my car back to the state of running because was the state I brought it to them.

I took my vehicle to him in order to have him put a rebuilt engine in my vehicle. He ended up picking up a engine somewhere that he cannot provide me. The receipt for the engine never worked right. Apparently he had to cut through my suspension in order to get to my engine. And I paid to replace that in my steering column he has put the wrong parts in. I have tried to go through Napa to get this resolved. They were able to confirm that the suspension was incorrect and that the engine is garbage in order for them to give me my car back in working order they want me to sign a waiver, which I refuse to. He has put my life and my childrens lives in Jeopardy. I have all of the legal paperwork they wanted me to sign. I also have videos of them admitting that I did not get anything near what I paid for hence I’ve spent over $20,000 and I’m still paying off an additional loan and my car is still not working. Jay and Brandon should not be able to get away with this. There needs to be some kind of legal action taken. Please feel free to call me at ###-###-#### or you can email me at ************************. Thank you I really need help with this

I bought a car from Jay off Facebook market on May 23 2023. I paid 6,000$ for the car. Told me that if I paid him right then the car was mine all that needed to be done was for it to be smogged. I said okay gave him the cash and the car was promised it had no other mechanical issues. Then he couldn’t get it smogged because codes kept popping up. He replaced some things and then said today June 15 2023 that he was done trying to fix it and couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. I asked for my money back he said he already spent it! And that I couldn’t get my money back. Now he’s saying he won’t keep the car and I have to come get it not smogged.

On 10/27/2022, I paid them $1397.91 to replace my catalytic converter as the check engine light was on and I need to get the car smogged. I was in Nevada for work and told the owner I lived in CA and needed to smog it when I get back. Now I can't pass smog because they installed a catalytic converter that is not CA compliant. They are refusing to return my money even after I offered to send the wrong one back to them. The business is a franchise of Napa Auto Care but the franchise here in CA says that there is nothing that they can do and that the Nevada shop is who should work with me. They are refusing to take the blame. I just want the correct catalytic converter installed, I have no problem paying the difference in price as the CA compliant one is more expensive.

Date June 30th Towed our isuzu rodeo to this mechanic, told them while driving the car just died, was able to get it into a parking lot and was unable to get the car started, there was no engine noise, no check engine light, no leaks, we called this company which said they would take us and would have a spot open, we got a tow and took the car to them and explained the problem, they told us we would need to pay a diagnostic fee which was fine. We got a call later saying our problem was a timing belt broke and we just needed to replace it to fix the car and we might need a compression test which was unlikely and if we didnt need it then it would be cheaper. Told us the price would be $1,1xx we said if that's all it takes to fix our car then go ahead. Later we get a call saying when you replace a timing belt you need to change the water pump they usually come with the kit but theirs didnt have one so we would have to pay 100-200 more to get one, we asked what that had to do with the timing belt and engine, said it needed to be done as it was leaking, told them we needed to check our finances, we called them back and said if this needs to be done to fix the car then do it. Later we get called again being told they need to replace a bolt that holds the water pump in place would cost us another 100-200 at this point things started to get heated once again we asked why this was needed to fix our car and how many more times are they going to call increasing the price, we was told again it needed to be done. Not long after that we get another call saying the timing belt didnt work and we needed to get our car out of there and pay $1,6xx. We refused saying we was told what was wrong after a diagnostic and agreeing to pay to fix the car and they cant just say, sorry that wasnt the problem now pay up. We told them if you did a diagnostic test on the car you would of found out the real problem and if the engine was damaged we would of never agreed to the work. Out of room
