      I have purchased from them a few times in the past and was relatively happy with the transactions. But yesterday they showed up late in the day as usual and with the same approach as before...they say they got stuck with a special order that fell thru for different reasons and they will make you the deal of the day...throwing in extra meat for free etc...etc.But this time there were 2 of them and while one was running the sales pitch , the other was already loading the meat into my freezer.Even after I said I would go ahead and do it so I could reorganize the stuff I still had left from the last time in there. Well after ******* to get it all in there...and still not giving me a direct price, ofcourse now it's all crammed in there with all the stuff that was already in there. And saying how low I was on meat in my freezer...which I wasn't. It has a significant amount in it to begin with. Then finally told me I owed $3900. I said how could that possibly be $3900 worth of meat. They told me that was actually a discount. I have purchased large amounts from them before and paid up to $2500, but this didn't seem any bigger...I asked a couple times to tell me the breakdown of the prices of each box and just got the run around. It was getting late so I reluctantly wrote the check, of which she told me to make out in her name rather than the business name...and I did. But today after digging thru my freezer and separating the meat I already had in there, there is NO WAY that there's $3900 worth of new meat in there.They played me very well and I should have made them pull it back out instead of writing the check. I don't usually complain about getting duped but this was ridiculous. I could have got a lot more from a butcher than that.I haven't touched any of it so they can come get it and give me my money back. And I won't be buying anything from them again. And I will be sure to warn the other customers in my small town as well.

      Hi *******, Ive read the bbb complaint and would like to address your concerns. It sounds like there was definitely some miscommunication between you and our sales rep ***** I am so sorry for the confusion. I shared your letter with **** and she was very surprised and felt that you were happy when she left. She said she did write a receipt of what you received but forgot to hand it to you. We do not offer refunds as we are unable to re sell the products once theyve left our chain of custody due to health and USDA codes. 
      I am happy to send a reciept that breaks down what you received and the cost. It looks like theres an address associated with the complaint so I will send it to that address today. I also gave **** your phone number and she has been trying to call.  Shes one of our top reps and her clients mean a lot to her so she wants a chance to help you feel better about your purchase and maybe bring you out something on her.

      Butcher Choice is selling beef claiming it to be USDA PRIME and to be specific cuts. They claimed the meat sold to me were prime cuts of New York, Ribeye, ************, and Sirloin. As a huge steak eater, 3 plus times a week, all steaks they sold me were at best low quality sirloin. All steaks were tough, chewy and lacked the flavor of quality meat. The Filet was more like ****************. They use high pressure and deceptive sales techniques. First they say you can buy this box of high quality meat for only $650.00. After saying no thanks, then they say okay, Ill drop the price to $359.00 just for you today only. I still said no, thats too expensive. So they continue to pressure me and then throw in $30.00 of bacon. So they finally suckered me into buying. I wouldnt be complaining if the product was as they claimed, however I was totally ripped off with low quality meat with a high quality price. They need to be investigated for fraud!

      So sorry to hear this happened to you. All the steaks in our premium beef pack are graded upper two thirds choice or prime so this is not our typical response to that pack. We also have an all natural beef pack that we get from another distributor. The steaks in that pack are select and choice and it has top sirloin instead of tenderloin. Based on your complaint Im thinking you mustve been sold the all-natural pack. But even that pack normally has a much better response. That being said we do want to make this right with you. I just noticed this complaint and its about 630 am now but I plan to reach out to you at the number you gave when I get to the office later this morning.

      Salesperson claimed that meat that was being sold was USDA prime 30 day dry aged meat of the highest quality. Spent 338 dollars on the product. Upon receiving the product and thawing the meat had freezer burn and horrible sinew. I doubt the meat was even USDA prime. They tried getting a check written and all other sorts of nonsense to get me to buy their product.

      I have read the complaint I am very sorry this happened. We usually have a great response to this beef case so Im very surprised to hear you were unhappy with the quality. However our packer does pack about 200 cases per week so every once in awhile therell be a few bad apples in the bunch. We normally dont offer refunds as we cannot resell the product once it has left our chain of custody due to health regulations. I am however happy to exchange that case with another beef case or if youd rather have seafood, chicken, or pork we could exchange for that. Once again I am very sorry the quality was not what you expected but I want to make this right with you. I believe I have your phone number on the email you sent us directly and I will reach out to you later today to come up with a solution.
