On February 22 and 4 pm I had a contact lens exam. I was told by the doctor he was sending me a complimentary trial set to my residence to see if they would work for me. February 29, 2024 I receive a text to come into the center to pick up the contacts. When I called and told me the doctor was sending them they said that he gave me the wrong information. I was then told it would cost $20 to ship them to me. This is an illegal bait and switch where the business is involved now in Deceptive Trade Practices.Initial Complaint

On July 11, 2023 I had an eye exam at Pritchett Eye Care, on Moana Ln in Reno. I paid the estimated amount of $349.00 for the exam and glasses. In September I received a statement saying the total came to $301.34, however it did not reflect my payment, so I called. They said they would straighten it out. In Oct 2023, I received another statement, which still did not reflect my payment. I called and they said they would talk to billing, find out what happened and call me back. They did not. In Dec. I had to send them a copy of the receipt. I did not receive a January statement showing a credit balance to my account, so I called to find out what happened to the over payment. They said I would have to talk to the insurance company about any over payment. They refused to let me talk to a manager and said their billing department was an automated system in Clark County. I am seeking to get my $47.66 over payment back and let people know about their unethical billing practices.Initial Complaint

Ordered glasses begging of June. The Tech never put in the order. We called week 4, 5 and six. They office manager said that they we waiting for my husband and my transition lens. Week 7, they said they were having problems with insurance. I was looking at my insurance claim and they paid. We asked for a refund. We got the credit card refunded but not our cash. Tried calling and the office manager was rude and refused to give back $600 cash that was paid.Initial Complaint

Date of Transaction: March 30, 2021 Amount: $ 370.10 I went in for an Eye Exam. They said I needed new prescription glasses. RX# ********* When they called me 2 weeks later I went to their office and tried the new glasses on. They were not correct. The doctor was not in that day and I was told they would talk to the doctor and get back to me. I have called several times and have been told several times someone would call me back. As of today, I have not heard back from their office and nothing has been done to correct the matter. It has been 7 months. They have not resolved the issue. I do not trust this eye care office or their service. I do not believe I needed new prescription glasses but was prescribed new glasses and they are not correct I would prefer they credit me the cost of $ 370.10 and I will find another eye care doctor.
