My Note to A Very Deserving Soldier, Man, Friend, Advisor, and Attorney who can be Trusted to Provide Excellent and Insightful Guidance. Daniel P. M***** Hello Dan, I'm closing a chapter in life to find green pastures. I would be remiss if I didn't thank you and Tully Rinckey for everything. Your experience in naval combat and as a Washington employment attorney has been invaluable. You and the firm have been trusted advisors guiding me through the DoD jungle. Your naval combat experience in Deserts Shield and Storm, and even more important, your 30 years as a Washington employment attorney, were the ideal combination to advise me: you have been both a war chief and peace chief at exactly the right time. I've realized that working in the DoD is like taking a daily bite of a **** sandwich. I’ve only had 3 good years out of 8 just trying to serve. It’s a Good Ole’ Boys Club on steroids. I’ve finally realized that I can change my diet. My life doesn't have to be like **** *******, struggling to find freedom by crawling out of a sewage pipe. Answer = Private Sector During my time at the DoD, I've faced immense stress, struggles, and storms. You have been a lifeline. My 18 great years at HP were great. Despite warnings from my AF buddy about avoiding the DoD at all costs, I chose the DoD path and proved him right. Even though I could have taken drastic actions against a contractor and a person in a position of power, for conduct unbecoming, involving me. I chose to take pity on him, considering his wife would never be the same. Let only one person never be the same. I'm still in therapy. The silver lining has been the kind souls I've met, when I needed them most, especially you, Dan. Your support has restored my faith. I'm going to take a separation package, telling the DoD to stick it up their ass, and leaving it in the rearview to find peace and a better quality of life. Thank you for everything. I'll never forget you Dan.Tully Rinckey PLLC

1 starI filed for divorce myself back in 2017. We never finished the process. I was given a martial agreement in November of 2023. I paid Joanne C******* $300 to review the agreement. Her review was by phone while she was driving. 1st mistake made by me. I then proceeded to contact Tully in January of 2024. Michael B***** reviewed the martial agreement and after some changes it was signed. I gave him a $3,500 retainer fee. I was then contacted by Michael Y******* in NYC in February and was informed that after Senior review, there was a statement in my martial agreement that they were worried about. Michael B***** informed me the martial agreement was good to sign in January. From January to June, I kept receiving statements showing legal reviews and my retainer was going down drastically. I am 69 years, with no dependents, no property, this was a simple divorce, each keeping their own retirement. I was told he was a senior partner in the firm. How could this happen? I feel like this company raped me of $3,500 dollars. I am senior citizen and was very upset. This was a simple divorce after being separated for 10 years. I would never recommend this firm for any legal issue. My divorce was final June 28, 2024. I was not informed until July 2, 2024. I received an email with the attached divorce signed by the judge. I never received a signed divorce with a seal from the attorney. I was told I could go to the City Hall and pay for one. I received a statement in August stating the rates went up and would be adjusted back. On October 23, 2024 I received a statement showing $13.06 balance and a check back for $13.06. In July, there was a statement showing $400. I was asked to give a good review and I informed him that would depend on how much money I received back. Don't use this firm. I was not satisfied at all.Review fromKathy Q

2 starsThe lawyers are skill and knowledgeable, but the leadership is terrible, disrespectful and incompetent. The billing/finance department is a mess. If you go with this firm, expect incessant billing issues and unwarranted late fees. There was an overpayment made by the Tully billing department (still unclear how this happened), and after almost 3 months they asked for the money back within 1 weeks’ time. We offered to return the overpayment over a longer period, but the CEO himself got directly involved and refused to accept our terms. The CEO was shockingly disrespectful to his own customers about this matter, which was clearly the firm’s mistake. After some back-and-forth, we agreed to pay the overage amount minus the unexplained late fees that had accrued. He fought us staunchly on this until we threatened to take it to fee arbitration. Once we threatened fee arbitration, his tone changed completely. He reluctantly accepted these terms only on the condition that we sign a legal agreement forbidding us from going to fee arbitration or writing bad reviews. Obviously, we did not sign that agreement! The fact that a law firm needs such legal agreements from their OWN CUSTOMERS before resolving the firm’s errors should be very telling about the integrity of the firm and those who operate it. Do yourself a favor and pick a better firm. P.S. We were never given clarity on these late fees and we still have no idea why they were added to our bill. We have transferred our case to a new firm and are much happier. The only reason I am generously giving 2 stars is because of the attorneys.Review fromJames C

2 starsI really wanted to be one of the satisfied clients. I have a solid case and was referred to this law firm by another employee who worked with T.R. to settle his case. I was not impressed by the $150 consultation fee. After weeks of thinking about it, I went ahead and paid. I selected my calendar date and time. TR cold-called me at my desk the next day to "get more information." Mind you, my case is against my employer, so calling me during work hours in earshot of my supervisor is probably not the best thing. I asked them to call back after 5. They agreed, but never did, even after stating they're in office until 8. I called them, left a message. No reply. Whole day goes by, nada. Then 36 hours later, a rep calls me during work hours again. He doesn't seem to know I've already paid consultation fee and had to switch gears in his speech. Then, he wants to know what my case is about. What?? A) I wrote all that in my initial request for consultation, so now I need to repeat it, and B) TR's consultation agreement says it does NOT include review of documents in advance of the consultation (yeah, cuz why make it as PRODUCTIVE of a meeting as possible?). So, where I could have provided a written timeline of events or written summary in advance of the meeting, TR wouldn't accept it. But they were now calling me to get those details after blowing me off. If THIS is how we were going to start after paying $150, I didn't even wanna find out what they were going to do with my $8000 retainer (that's what my coworker said he'd paid). High ratings or not. Referred or not. If you're gonna waste my time out of the gate, then I need to move to a firm that respects my time, my money, and me.Review fromMartin D

1 starDo you enjoy being overbilled without any type of proof of work done? Do you enjoy mandatory arbitration and mediation clauses with pay disputes? Do you enjoy being sidelined and ignored when requesting to go over your invoices? Would you enjoy going to a mediation and being offered 500 dollars for over 3k in pay dispute claims? If so, this is the lawfirm for you! Just ask for Pamela B***** and Derrick H****, they'll hook you up!Review fromDonny F

5 starsMy employer served me with a Statement of Reasons under Guidelines E & H, which could have jeopardized my career. I contacted Tully Rinckey for a consultation and decided to retain their services. They assigned Dan M****, the national security partner in Washington, D.C., to my case. Dan methodically addressed the Government’s findings and helped me compile a comprehensive rebuttal. We then proceeded with the personal appearance, resulting in a favorable decision. I am now back at work. Great job, TR! Thanks, Dan!Review fromJonathan A

1 starI hired Tully Rinkey based on their claims that they would aggressively defend me in my court matter. They took my money then lied to me and manipulated my choices by giving me vague answers to my questions. They left me with unresolved issues that they refuse to address and forget in a timely manner. Unprofessional and unethical representation. Legal services get a bad reputation for wanting to make their hay and being distrustful. Tully Rinkey is no exception. They lack the care needed to appropriately address concerns and do not care about the details that will later come back to bite you. My attorney could not even explain to me what I agreed to and doesn't even care that their missteps have real consequences to lives that they do not value. Money grubbing fraudsters. shame on Tully Rinkey. If I only delivered half of what I promised in my profession, I wouldn't have a job. Hold yourselves to higher standard.Review fromScott G

5 starsI came to Tully Rinckey with a Guideline E, H, & J issue which was blocking me from career goals. I did a consult with the Firm, retained them, and they assigned my matter to Washington DC national security partner, Dan M***** Dan was there for me over the next two years, as we both worked through the issues and the confusion we were seeing from recruiters and security professionals. I am off and running on my new job opportunity. TR had the strategy right. I am really excited about this next phase of my Federal career. Great job Dan ! Thanks, TR !Review fromEileen C

5 starsI hired Tully Rinckey to represent me at a second level review personal appearance regarding my security clearance, Guideline H. It was a tough statement of reasons, notably because the marijuana use was after I was granted a clearance. The firm brought their marijuana subject matter expert into the case. Dan M***** a national security partner in the Washington D.C. Office, took the case file and we worked up the evidence together; Dan’s legal brief focused on the ambiguity of drug use in America, today, and how difficult it can be for young adults to understand the real consequences of even victimless behavior. The argument worked; just won my case. Thanks Dan ! Thanks TR!Review fromJoshua A

Mike B***** is a snake that take advantage of the disabled. Because of incompetence, I have yet to have a conclusion to my consultation after three weeks, while my life continues to unravel. Discussing company that steals from NYS essential workers.Tully Rinckey PLLC
