No hot water! My girlfriend and I stayed at the Riveredge Resort Hotel for 2 nights and had been quoted a price of $369.64 dollars. Our first night at the hotel, we were unable to get hot water in the room. My girlfriend contacted the front desk and was told by staff that parts were replaced on the hot water tank and we should run the water for 15 minutes to get hot water. The temperature of the water did not change after 15 minutes and we tolerated taking showers in tepid water. The next morning I talked to a manager (Tara B****) at the front desk about not having hot water. We continued to have problems with not having hot water throughout the second day. I spoke with a male staff person at the front desk and informed him my girlfriend and I were miserable staying at the hotel and that there needed to be a significant reduction in the price of the room due to the problem. He said Tara would be in at 7:00 a.m. the next morning and I would need to speak to her. On the morning we were scheduled to check-out of the hotel, I informed Tara that I had taken a shower in cold water that morning and my girlfriend refused to shower due to the cold water. I also informed Tara we had been unable to use the hot tub the previous night due to the low water temperature. Tara refused to discount the cost of the room any more than 15%. She was unable to look me in the eye when she told me that there was hot water at the hotel. I informed her I planned to submit a BBB complaint. Tara provided me with her business card and the name of the General Manager, Justin M***. I asked Tara to have Mr. M*** contact me about the above situation. Mr. M*** has not contacted me to date or left me a vm message. I believe a hotel, in order to maintain a good reputation, would not even charge a customer for a stay if there was a problem with providing hot running water. In an attempt to be fair-minded, I am requesting a 50% reduction in the cost of the hotel room.
