Hello, The debt I'm being sued for was paid off in January 2017 via my debt card over the phone in the amount of $1748.98 as a settlement payment. I have attached a copy of my bank statement showing the debt was paid in full. I also spoke with a representative (Shanetra) with ******* *** who confirmed I do not have a balance with their company. Once I made the settlement payment I was informed by Secured Billing Service that I would no longer owe ******* *** who was the original owner of the debt. The current dispute is ******* *** is claiming to have sold my loan (April 1st 2016) to a company called ******* ********* *** a DBA of ******* **** However, I never had any interaction, or paperwork from ******* ********* *** until I was served with papers to appear in court on Nov. 3rd 2022. However, not t sound confusing my compliant is against Secured Billing Service as there are no phone numbers listed for this company and at the time I thought my bank statement would be proof enough that the debt was settled.Customer response
