Early September 2023 I traded in my 01 ***** ******* and gave them 11,800$ cash for a 15 ***** ********* ( 2wheeldrive ) with 153,297 miles (roughly) it currently has 157,264 miles. Within the first 20 miles of owning the truck I noticed a large hesitation - blinking check engine light and cruise control was inoperable. I was advised by the owner - the vehicle has a 500 mile warranty - 100 percent guaranteed on motor- driveline along with any and all issues. I brought it back within the first 3 days of owning the truck as per his request - they had the truck on the lot for four days - upon picking the truck back up they stated it was bad fuel and they performed a fuel induction cleaning - this did not solve the issue - I left with the truck per their suggestion of running a higher octain through the tank - still did not resolve the issue - upon texting the owner I dropped the truck back off - they had the truck for another four days - they didn't provide any documentation of what they did and refused to tell me what was done that time - I went there to get the truck and again the problems were still very evident. I left the truck there for an additional 3 days - still refused to advise what they did nor did I receive any paperwork pertaining the work performed. Within my frustration I took the truck to a certified ** dealership where they advised I would need - a new fuel rail on the passenger side - possibly a new head as this truck has the symptoms of a dropped valve- a bad thermostat cause multiple error codes within OBD2 - abs and service stabilitrac codes - to my knowledge it wasn't even re inspected when I purchased the truck. All in all I have a truck that doesn't run or drive properly- will not pass nysi- and is unsafe In most of its supposed functionality. I have given the owner ample time within his warranty specifications to repair the issues he has not done anything in my professional opinion.
