10/18 I found out through a collections letter communication from outsource receivables management Inc that my daughter's mother never advised me of an outstanding bill with **** eye institute. I called them and paid the bill in full once I knew this was unpaid. I called outsource receivables management Inc to validate 10/23/2023 9:05am (please listen to the call) the outstanding debt was noted as paid in full. I explained to the rep my situation and what was going on 2 different ways two times. I was advised that they could not talk to me because they sent the letter to the wrong person and then was told that they could not talk to me because my name was not ******. I advised them that this was my middle name and that I needed someone to validate this debt was cleared. The person on the phone said they had to call the the original hiring debt entity to confirm my letter and debt and hung up on me while I was talking to him and was about to ask for a manager. If I am getting letters sent to my house from a debt collector agency that I can not act on or manage then it is not fair as a consumer to be contacted and when I call to settle the debt that was raised through a letter communication I should have a way to validate the debt and pay it. Neither of these options were provided and I was not able to escalate my issues and concerned to this abusive treatment to management because I was hung up on. I will like to file a complaint and ask that this recording be listening to as these business practices should not be allowed and this business should be shut down if they are sending letters out to people then not letting people pay the outstanding debt. This is complete fraud.

I am in receipt of your email from November 20, 2023 regarding the above referenced complaint ID. I apologize for the delay in my response.  As you know, Outsource Receivables Management is a 3rd party debt collection agency and works on behalf of several creditors.  The account referenced in Mr. ****’s complaint came into our system October 8, 2023 with the name “****** ****” and a letter was mailed to that person on this same date.  The balance sent to our office was $86.92.  A man called our office October 23, 2023.  Our collector asked if he was speaking with “******” **** and the caller advised that was not his name but was the name on our letter.  Please note, the caller ID for this call came across as **** **** from telephone number ###-###-####.  The man stated that he believed this account was for his daughter and his ex-wife never told him about this outstanding bill.  Our collectors must verify they are speaking with the correct consumer before discussing the account in question.  Our collector put the call on hold to get further instruction from his manager.  Our collector then told the caller that we had to contact our client to verify the name for this account and ended the call.  We called our client this same day and left a message for them to return our call.  They did return our call October 23, 2023 and confirmed the name on the consumers driver license was ****** ****** **** and that the account had been paid in full October 18, 2023.  Please assure Mr. **** that this account was not and will not be reported to his credit file by our office.  Outsource Receivables Management has been in business for many years and sincerely takes pride in the work we do for both our clients and the consumers we are able to assist.  Mr. **** may contact our office toll free at ###-###-#### if he has any further questions.  This is an attempt to collect a debt by a debt collector and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.  Respectfully,  Amy H***  President

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The business never acknowledged how I was treated on the call. I was looking to ask a series of questions around their service to identify what I could do in order to satisfy not having any negative impact on my credit score. As I was looking to learn more I was hung up on. I would like for the business to represent that is how they treat customers calling in on letters they send to their address. Pulling the wrong customer information should not be my fault and the fact I was never provided this bill was not my fault. How I was serviced with an abusive hang up is not how anyone should be treated. I think this business practice should be under investigation. Regards,  ****** ****

The insurance fees did not post to my credit report but again it took me writing a BBB ticket to validate this information. How I was treated on the phone with the lack of information provided and how I was serviced should not be allowed. It is abuse and the debt collector should be held accountable to a professional servicing process. If the buy debt it should be known who they are sending letters to and those people contacted should be allowed to ask questions and not hung up on.

Better Business Bureau:  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  MY REQUEST WAS VERY CLEAR IN MY INITIAL COMPLAINT This is a request for proof of contract to substantiate your claim. Provide me with a certified copy of an original contract, with my signature specifically naming your company as a person entitled to enforce a commercial claim against me . Certifications can be done through the presence of a notary public, who duly swears the copy made is in fact a copy of the original paper contract in question. The response was " WE HAVE TO CONTACT THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR" How does this prove that this debt belongs to me? I do not see my signature here. Perhaps I have been the victim of identity theft or fraud. I can certainly create similar documents on my computer, send them to your company and claim that you owe me money. Would that prove anything? I DO NOT have any contractual obligation to pay YOU at this point as you have failed to provide ANY proof of that. A copy of an alleged bill is simply not enough satisfactory proof that I, personally, incurred this alleged debt. REQUEST ANY DEROGATORY INFORMATION REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS BE REMOVED if I find this entry on my credit report later interferes with my ability to obtain credit with favorable terms, I will bring suit against your company and the original creditor for all applicable damages, as well as for statutory penalties provided under the FDCPA and FCRA.

I paid iff my 74.00 medical bill and need them to report to credit bureaus and delete off my credit report so I can get a mortgage. They will not delete from credit report but I paid another agency a collection bill and they had my confirming letter to me in less than 24 hours for same thing. I called ******* and they told me that the creditor can delete from credit report.

I am in receipt of your email of this morning regarding the above referenced complaint ID.  The account referenced in Ms. ******’s complaint came into our system February 8, 2019.  We made several attempts to contact Ms. ****** at the 3 different telephone numbers we have, including 3 attempts to the daytime telephone number listed in her complaint, about this account but had no success.   Ms. ****** called our office February 22, 2022 to inquire about “pay to delete” process.  Our collector explained that our office updates paid accounts as paid in full.  She requested to speak with a supervisor as her mortgage lender told her to do that if we were not willing to give her a “pay to delete” letter.  The supervisor reiterated that we update accounts as paid in full and Ms. ****** did pay her account in full with the supervisor.  A receipt for this payment was mailed to the address referenced in her complaint that same day.I understand that Ms. ****** “paid another agency a collection bill” and they “had a confirming letter to her in less than 24 hours for the same thing”.   Unfortunately, we cannot control the delivery time of a letter sent via U.S. Postal Service but we could have emailed the receipt to Ms. ****** if she would have made that request and sent us written permission via email.  I am not sure who Ms. ****** spoke to at ******* that advised her “the creditor can delete from credit report” but we are not the creditor and we have duties and responsibilities as a data furnisher which do not include deleting accounts from consumer reports when they are paid.  Can Ms. ****** provide me with a letter from ******* that states the data furnisher is allowed to delete paid accounts from a consumer’s report?Outsource Receivables Management has been in business for many years and sincerely takes pride in the work we do for both our clients and the consumers we are able to assist.   We “finished our job” but I would be happy to further assist Ms. ****** with the deletion of this record if she can provide me with a letter from ******* that authorizes me to do so.This is an attempt to collect a debt by a debt collector and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.Respectfully,Amy H***President

I am in receipt of your emails from January 14, 2022 and January 31, 2022 regarding the above referenced complaint ID and I apologize for this delayed response.  Mr. ***** did not specify “the bill” in question in his complaint but I believe he might be referring to an account that came into our system November 19, 2021.  Our letter was mailed to the address referenced in his complaint on November 22, 2021 and was not returned to us.  We attempted to call Mr. ***** at the daytime telephone number listed in his complaint on November 17, 2021 but did not get an answer.  We attempted to call him again on December 20, 2021 but did not get an answer.  Later that same day Mr. ***** called our office to advise that he had paid our client directly in September 2021. We told him we would request verification of that payment from our client.  We requested a copy of the itemized statement for the account in question from our client on December 21, 2021.  We mailed the itemized statement to Mr. ***** January 13, 2022 after receiving it from our client.  We received a profane voice message from Mr. ***** on January 14, 2022 requesting a call back.  After review of the statement our client had provided to us, we were able to confirm the payment he referenced was paid to their office prior to the account being credit reported.  We returned his call on January 14, 2022 to let him know our client had confirmed his payment and we would submit a request to have this account deleted from his credit report.  Shortly thereafter, Mr. ***** gave us a 5 Star Review on google:Given this review, I believe we were able to amicably resolve Mr. *****’s concern with our business.  We understood his frustrations but had to take the necessary steps to confirm the information he was providing to us.  A consumer’s willingness to communicate with us allows to do our job and we appreciate that!  Outsource Receivables Management has been in business for many years and sincerely takes pride in the work we do for both our clients and the consumers we are able to assist.   This is an attempt to collect a debt by a debt collector and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.Respectfully,Amy H***President/ah
