1 starThis company is a total scam! Tried making a payment for my fathers policy and they wouldn't let me. It's supposed to be coming out of his checking account automatically, but since they found out he now has cancer, (after he's had the policy for 10 years) they stopped taking the payments and only he can make a payment. 1 starThis is a horrible company basically stealing your money do not get life insurance here you will regret it do not waist your time i got this insurance thinking I had something good but no! It's awful they had my birthday all wrong when I tried to correct the problem I got the run around they asked me to send them proof of my birthday with a birth certificate I sent it then they told me the email they had on file was not the sane as when I set up the account that was a lie!! I only have one email to use after that I asked was it another way to prove it they said only through the email then turn around and sent me an email that says I can fax it to them but you can't send a birth certificate through fax for security reasons with no way to provide my birth certificate I couldn't pay the bill and my insurance collapsed they never tried to rectify the problem they was only after keeping my money im going to find a way to file a complaint with the better business Bureau to get my money back that they stole from me my wife would not have been able to access the money if I died!!! It's a shame but I'm going to report you guys for my money I want it back.Review fromDavid A

1 starLumico has poor customer service. The agent that was assigned to me, was/ is no longer employed with them, and I was never told that she was no longer employed with them, neither did I get another agent assigned to me. I wanted to change the death benefit on my policy, I was told I couldnt, that they would have to write me another policy. When I asked why they provided no reason, other than I had thirty day from the start of my policy to make any changes. I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told there was no supervisor available. Insisting that 30 days to make any changes was not a reason, all they could tell me is that is their policy, but never gave a specific reason. Every time I try to log into my account I cant get in, prompting me to call customer service. When trying to access my account over the phone, their automated system says that there is no account with my policy number. Its very stressful dealing with them. August 2024, I was told they dont have any agents to assign me to, and Lumico doesnt write their own policies. They were contracted with Assurance for policy writing, but now theyre no longer contracted with Assurance. When calling customer service, they can never give you a straight answer to your questionsit always, I think, Im not sure, I dont know. Lumico has terrible customer service, they took out payment before 1st of the month & caused a banking problem that they wont refund me the fee. Asked to speak with **************** didnt get on the phone, 1 employee told me they dont except email or fax for me to send proof. Called back again & spoke to another employee, said there is fax number, Had me send proof of fee from bank from my banking settlement & still said they wont refund.Lumico Life Insurance Company

Lumico is horrible and inconsiderate. I called to get information to see if my mothers policy was in effect. They couldn't give me ANY information but took all of mine. They made me wait A WEEK only to let me know that her policy was cancelled. Why not inform me during our first initial conversation that it was cancelled? I'm already grieving and then to be left in the dark during our family time of need. The person who "helped" me on the phone was very cold and did not offer any condolences. No sincerity whatsoever. I would never recommend them to assist anyone with life changing moments. I don't understand how they're still in business. Terrible company..Lumico Life Insurance Company

Lumico and it's employees proved to be incompetent from the supervisors to their employees involved in the case. They made it difficult to process a policy cancellation and didn't know the legal requirements before communicating specific actions to me. I asked multiple times what I needed to do and they gave me specific actions. I completed the actions, they began to process cancellation, and then they called me multiple times for additional actions. Then they tell me they have no method of tracking the documents I send over.Lumico Life Insurance Company

Hi my name is *************************** I tried to cancel the life insurance and can not! Because the person who filled out the forms is one of the people on the phone! Who works with them! I gave them the policy number and my last four of my social security! That should be enough to cancel the policy they said no!
