      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

My car is still damaged and the Bolt Parking will not pay for my damage. There has been numerous complaints about vehicle damage when customers come to pick up their car. **** denied their damage as well. Bolt damaging vehicles needs to stop and they need to be held accountable. Bolts resolution was to give me two free parking days. Now why would I ever park there again knowing that my vehicle was damaged after being parking at this establishment.

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

I parked by car at Bolt Parking near ****************** from July 16 to July 19, 2023. When I picked up my car, there were a number of scratches on the front passenger-side door and the rear driver-side door. I immediately told the attendant at Bolt, and he had someone come to my car, take pictures, and fill out a claim form. I was not given a copy of the claim form. A week later, I reached out to **** to get an update on my claim. What followed was a month of trying and trying to get responses from them with limited luck. On numerous occasions, I requested information for a supervisor so that we could have a conversation, but that request was consistently ignored. At one point, they asked me to get three estimates for the damage to my car - something that would indicate to me an acknowledgement of fault on their part. (Logically, why else would they ask me to get and sent them three estimates?) I sent them three estimates within a few days and asked for a timeline for a resolution; they again did not respond to that. After continuing to ask, they asked for photos of the damage (which were already in the estimates). I also sent them a video that clearly showed the damage. After asking and asking about a timeline, they finally told me that it was not possible that they caused the damage. I genuinely do not understand how they can ask me for estimates but then later tell me they couldn't have caused damage. They absolutely caused damaged to my car but will not take responsibility and do not respond in an appropriate time manner. Please see the attached email exchanged for more information and specific details.

After a thorough review of the esteemed claims regarding the damage to his vehicle during its stay at our Bolt Parking facility, we have reached a conclusion. Our investigation indicated that the alleged damage appears to have been pre-existing, not inflicted during your vehicle's stay at our parking site from July 16 to July 19, 2023. Therefore, we regretfully inform him that we will not be undertaking the repairs for the claimed damages to your vehicle. We understand his frustration and apologize for any inconvenience caused. However, our evidence suggests the reported damage was already present prior to the parking period, and as such, resolving the damage isn't within our responsibility. The manager had told him that it would take up to two week for the investigation to happen but with the holidays it took longer. The customer even had video of all the pre existing damage at could not all happen for the amount of time and where his vehicle was parked.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Bolt Parkings response is inaccurate and unsupported.

      1) They claim that I had a video of all pre-existing damage. That is not true at all; the video that I have, and that I shared with them, is of my car after they caused the damage. When **** asked for photos/video, that it what I sent them. To imply that I had proof to the contrary and still complained about them is just plain wrong.

      2) They asked me to get three quotes for the repair of my vehicle. Why would they ask me to do that if they didnt cause damage? Logically, the company should only ask a consumer to do that if they did, in fact, cause damage.

      3) I also take issue with them saying that the manager told me that I would get a resolution within two weeks; I asked for contact information for a manager several times, and that request was consistently ignored. There is evidence of this in the email thread that I shared in my initial complaint. To this day, I have not spoken with a manager. I also do not know which holidays they are referring to, as my car was damaged in mid July and there were no major holidays between then and the time I filed my initial complaint.

      4) They said that the damage could not have happened in the amount of time my car was parked there and based on where it was parked. It does not take long to damage a car.

      5) I have never seen any evidence from Bolt Parking to support their claims. What proof do they have? Do they have videos that show what my car was like when I first brought it in? Do they have surveillance cameras that show my car throughout the time it was at their lot? I would be very curious to see what they used to reach their conclusion.

My 2023 ******* Palisade was parked between the dates of 4/7/23. & 4/13/23.The car odometer only had **** miles on it because the car was leased in March of 23.The odometer read over **** miles upon return to the garage to pick up the car. The car also had a feature disabled that was in place when we dropped the car off. Besides these things, the tool kit in the bottom part of the trunk was taken out and left there with a random screwdriver left behind in that same area. We have never used that tool kit considering the car was barely a month into the lease.

Please note that the claims of ********************* are reliant on false and untruthful information.

Enclosed are pictures with time stamps indicating the timelines of the vehicle whereabouts from the moment it entered the lot & until the request for pick up was made and her vehicle to be pulled up on day of arrival.

Since the date of 4/7/2023 up until the date of 4/13/2023 was stationary in row "E" - blocked between two vehicles (front and back) for half of it's stay, while stationary in the same location thereafter.

The vehicle was driven for about ***** seconds during the duration of it's stay, only twice, just to be parked in its designated spot and later retrieved for the convenience of the customer, as they arrived.

Since the accusations of this vehicle being driven are completely false & common (sense) understanding of the fact that in order to drive 500+ miles the vehicle would have to be off the lot for 10+ hours is absent, it is justifiable to state that all other complaints related to this case by ********************* are completely false and made up.

We serve tens of thousands of cars every year and take our job seriously.  Accusations such as this, based on non-factual information, are a low-blow to honest businesses that are trying to create a positive experience for customers in the area.

Please feel free to contact us should you require more information.

      Thank you,

We parked our vehicle at Bolt Parking, LLC on Wednesday 7/27. On Sunday, July 31st we did a walk around the car and saw numerous scratch and paint off the bumper of our car. We asked to have a report and was refused. We asked to have the full name of the manager and owner and was refused. We were made to pay for our car parking despite their careless handling of our car. The attendant said we more than likely will not get anything and we should use our deductible. We pointed out the newness of the damage and they were dismissive. While at the location another person using their lot for parking conveyed that they dented/pushed in his grill. It is clear this parking lot does not hold their members accountable and did not offer to review the cameras to see how the damage was caused. To effectively file a complaint, we obtained the following email address, which bounced back: ********************************************. To rectify the situation the company should credit us back, while having the damage to our bumper repaired.

I parked my car at Bolt Parking at *********************************** from Friday March 11 at 11:30 am to Monday March 14 at 11 am. On Saturday March 12 around 3 pm a sign from the adjacent building, Prime Storage ***********************************, blew off the building and damaged my car and totaled the car next to mine. I have pictures of my car and video. I was called by the manager of Bolt Parking, ********* and talked about what happened to my car. He told me not to worry because he spoke to the ** of Prime Storage, and they are going to pay for everything. ******** told me to get estimates, including car rental and send them to him which I did. I called ****, the ** at Prime Storage on Monday and was told he would call me back on Tuesday. **** did not call me back on Tuesday. I spoke to him Wednesday 3/16 in the morning and he told me to send him the estimates, which I did. **** then called me back around 12:15 pm to tell me that he spoke to their insurance carrier, ********************* and that because it was wind damage, they are not liable, and their insurance is not going to cover the damage to my car. I called their corporate office and spoke to ******* who is the insurance coordinator and told the same thing. I questioned if the sign was properly secured to the building and asked about the last time that the sign was inspected. ******* was incredibly rude and would not answer my questions. I do not believe that this should be something I have to pay for, deductible or use my insurance. I spoke with the manager of Bolt parking and told that they parked my car safely and they are not responsible but I believe they are also liable. My complaint right now is with Bolt Parking for not protecting my car that they parked.
