First, I typically dont't do reviews, as I look at a situation and work to determine how it could be corrected or resolved. Hammer Brothers, delayed and extended out start dates for a medium to large remodel to only benefit themselves. The communication was horrible with contstant emails, which started after a siginifcant deposit was given and Jeff simply stopped taking calls. If you tried calling him it went to voice mails. How ironic, when they needed the business there was time to answer a call. It simply should have not eneded this way after 8-9 months waiting we had to abruptly cancel May,2023 there was no end in sight with the dates being pushed back . I have a feed of emails , and yes I left some tough not so nice voice messages after harboring feelings of being taken advatage of. They simply could not or would not empathise with our given situaton, however Jeff needed us to understand /empathise with his situation ...Short on skilled laborers, and not wanting to return a large deposit ...I get it !Being a busines owner myself it's tough getting help , but it's not the customers problem. We met with Jeff and Joey in May 2022 , was told the work would start around Fall 2022. Prior to meeting with Jeff & Joey , there were a couple other contractors we met with as well , professional, and we were given definitive start dates in the fall. Unfortunately, we had a leak from our upstairs bathroom which caused stains on our family room wall (embarrassing and disfiguring ) it was work we needed sooner than later. We canceled Christmas gathering ,we canclled our anniversary dinner , We cancelled going to NC for our grandaughters play the Month of May. Finally, enough is enough !! We simply could not plan anything? They stopped taking calls therefore nothing could be discussed and we turned it over to our creit card company with emails to ensure a full refund of our deposit.
