We bought kitchen and bathroom faucets from **** *****. **** ***** subcontracted the installation to Progressive Plumbing. The first plumber installed the kitchen faucet fine. He tried to install the bathroom faucet but noticed that the pipe had a crack. I had to go to **** ***** and get a new one. A few days later he came back and installed it. But there was a leak from the pipe. He said I had to get another one since that faucet design was flawed. I returned to **** ***** and picked out another faucet. I asked the **** ***** faucet expert if the pipe was flawed. He explained that the pipe was not flawed and how it worked. I called Progressive and asked for a different plumber to install the new faucet. They sent another one and he tried to install the new pipe and faucet. He noticed that the sink was cracked at the bottom where the pipe went in. That was causing the leak. He told me to contact his company and explain the situation and the likely possibility that the other plumber cracked it. He said they would have to replace the sink. Over the next weeks I called Progressive about this situation. Sometimes I spoke to the manager who handled installation problems. She would tell me that her manager was looking into the matter and she would call me back. She never called me back so I would call her. One time she said that she would order the sink from **** ***** after we took measurements. The next (and final) time she spoke to me, she told me that they would not replace the sink since the house is over 20 years old and it could have been cracked before the work. I finally went to **** ***** and spoke to my local store manager. He contacted their company arbitrator, ********, to handle our situation. ******** told us that Progressive would not do anything unless we had a photograph of the sink before the installation proving that it was not leaking. This company displayed incompetence, horrible customer service and a complete lack of integrity.
