  I called Garcia Tree Removal Service after receiving a letter in the mail that they are doing work in my area and now is a great time to save and have them come while in the area. I called a few times and left messages. He called this morning (6/28) around 7:45am to come to my house for the estimate. He came with a clipboard, we discussed that the tree is very large and has dead limbs making it unsafe. He agreed to cut the top half of the tree and branches/limbs because it was in my power lines. He left so I could speak with my neighbor. I called him back to do the job but said I need an invoice first , he agreed. He came to my house with his crew and no invoice/estimate. I told him not to start until I get the written estimate, he called his brother and while on the phone called me a slur in another language. His crew laughed. His brother came and wrote an estimate I told him same thing, top half of the tree and all limbs/branches to make it safe until I can afford to remove the entire tree. He wrote it out. They began to work. When I heard the leaf blowers going I went outside to check, they left a tremendous amount of tree left on top and a gigantic limb that hung directly over powerlines. I asked him if he was cutting it too, he said they finished cutting and said that he agreed to only cut out of the power lines which directly contradicted what he he claims he said. He told me the remaining limb didnt hang over the power lines. I walked under the tree and pointed out that theyre directly over the lines & took pictures. He argued for a while & said he would charge me more to go back up to which I refused as this was not what we agreed to and it is written in the estimate as well. He argued for a long time and eventually cut the remaining limb. However, he did not cut down to what we agreed upon, was rude and was trying to leave without completing the job or have an invoice at all. I have the estimate, pictures before worked on, remaining limb and afterward.

  06/4/2023 I paid $3000.00 for a job that is not finished.Along back fence of property 16 trees were suppose to be trimmed back and topped off including the pine trees and cleaned up. I was left with just the trunks on all the trees with no branches facing house. Pine trees were not trimmed or topped. Clean up was not done completely. ***** promised to come back on 7/17/2023 and didn't show and is now not answering my calls. I have researched his company and he did the same to someone else. I am looking for $ back so I can hire a legit company to finish the job.

  An agreement for tree removal and ***** grinding for a set price. ***************************** told me his ***** grinder would not fit through my gate of my fence (tree was in back yard). ***************************** told me he has a friend with a smaller grinder and he would be here the following day. I agreed and paid ***************************** the full amount agreed upon. It has been 3 days now and as many phone calls...promising that it will be done the next day. Nothing has happened.

  PS...I left a message on the BBB phone message this morning.  Garcia Tree Service showed up the next day after I wrote this complaint and completed the job.  No further action is required.  I am rescinding the complaint.   Sorry for any inconvenience.
