I visited Soundview Caterers to schedule a wedding. I advised them how many guests I was expecting to have. I was told by ******** that they can accommodate. We questioned this and were advised that they can accommodate. I signed the contract and gave a deposit. I had an appointment to see another catering hall right after my appointment with Soundview. It so happens that the next facility was larger and we were advised that they cannot accommodate the amount of guests we are expecting. The next day we called Soundview to cancel. We were advised that we cannot cancel and then asked if we can use the deposit for the bridal shower. We were told that we can and were given a price for the bridal shower that was close to the amount they advised us for the wedding. We then requested our deposit back and were advised that we are not entitled to our deposit. The wedding is still close to a year away. I then contacted the Town of ****** *** and was advised that their occupancy permit does not allow even close to the amount of guests we advised that we were expecting. We have recently received a letter advising that they are cancelling the reserved date and that no refund is forth coming. I would stay far away from them and find another location to celebrate.

The information above is false. The client preferred to listen to her friend with no catering experience and not to us. She decided to book another place and now is upset because she lost her deposit. The contract clearly states NO REFUNDS.
