We purchased a new house from Sawmill on 11/15/22.Early Nov, the seller is said to have obtained the *** and requested us to close the house ASAP, or pay a fine of 250/day. But at that time, there is NO gas to the house, and the only final walkthrough offered by them is a couple of days before closing, at 6:30pm when it's already dark! A lot of things not finished! We tried hard to push back closing, till at least gas is working, but failed. We were forced to sign contract to finish all punchlist by 12/15.On 12/12, NO gas, no punchlist done. Estimate from seller is before Xmas. We pushed back all schedules, shouldering all the extra costs. After a week, the house was still not ready, we had to vacate all stuff from our old apt, and put them to new house w/o gas, living in hotels with our 2yr old! As we always heard from the seller next week itll be ready, we had very limited stuff with us, run back everyday to pick up what we need. Also the driveway collapsed in less than a month! My baby fell and bumped her forehead, with an egg-size bump initially, and now still not fully recovered!Also, we had to hand wash clothes in winter, exposing to all the virus. We hand-cook every meal to our baby, but w/o a home we had to order unhealthy take-out adult food for her. Also we cannot send her to local school or not even have in-home nanny-ironically we have to pay all expensive taxes for our house in school district!We were so exhausted, sick quite a few times including baby. **** planned to be pregnant when she is 2 and now had to delay!I called town after a couple of months waiting in vein, and the town said they should have never issued the ** in the first place!Finally, there was gas and ** on 3/28, by which time most of the punchlist items still outstanding! A lot of stuff have grown mold, including floor! Newly purchase items turn useless or passed the return deadline.****** said they would cover our fees, we have been following up for months, but no reply!
