On 6/3/2022 I signed a proposal with Stanton and Son (Fred Stanton) and gave him a check for $3,925.00 to build a 15x15ft pool deck. He said the materials would be there within the week and he would start within 2 weeks. He cashed the check on 6/8/2022 and has yet to make contact with me or answer my phone calls. I have yet to receive any materials for this project either.Business response

I responded/Spoke with Mr ** ***** on phone Asked to get money back /Refund he would proceed with another Contractor. Contract clearly states all payments are non refundable. He will not get Refund or our services due to breach of Contract, Cannot control being late we do not jump job to job had every intention of completing project sorry we could not meet his Deadlines. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Fred Stanton refused to provide refund when requested as he failed to communicate delays or return phone calls. When we spoke he stated he would call to schedule service upon return from said vacation on July 18th. He never returned phone calls and refused all attempts by myself and wife to contact him. Upset from customer due to lack of communication is not grounds for breach of “contract”. At no point was customer rude. Customer cannot be at fault if Fred Stanton cannot handle assertive and direct communication. Additionally, we asked for service in lieu of refund. Fred Stanton has refused both without cause. We Responded as stated prior mentioned chose to get another Contractor or Refund That surely is Breach of Contract Once Again. He will not get Service nor a Refund From Stanton&Son Construction. Sincerely, Fred Stanton
