  I was called on 08/25/2021 by Bison Recovery Group which I was told is operated in New York. They were calling about a small debt I have on a past credit card (approx $550) I talked with representative and she stated that I could pay in two installments or if I wanted to pay one installment of $400, then the debt would be settled and it would be taken care of. So that is what I agreed to do. I gave her my check routing number and checking account number over the phone. I wouldn't normally do this but I know that I did have this outstanding debt and I was ready to get it taken care of. The rep took all of my information over the phone and thanked me and told me I was good to go. The very next day on 08/26/2021 I received 5 calls back to back from this company. I answered the phone 3 times and was hung up on. 5 minutes after I answered the last time, I received a call from my sister saying that they called her and left a message about me and this debt.

  Bison Recovery Group, Inc. has received the above referenced complaint, which has been forwarded for investigation and response. We are a third party collection agency retained by its clients to secure payment of past due accounts. I have several concerns regarding the allegations being made by Ms. *******. Ms. ******* states that 5 phone calls were launched by our office on 8/26/2021. I have reviewed all phone records both inbound and outbound and no calls were launched to ###-###-#### on 8/26/2021. The only calls made by Bison Recovery Group to Ms. ******* are as follows: 8/18/2021 at 10:30am 8/19/2021 at 4:50pm 8/24/2021 at 11:19am Additionally, at no time was any other number dialed in an attempt to reach Ms. *******. Furthermore, we would never disclose to a third party that this matter was regarding collections of a debt. On 8/25/2021 at 1:43pm, Ms. ******* contacted Bison Recovery Group and made arrangements with a representative to resolve her account. No phone calls (either inbound or outbound) occurred after 8/25/2021. As of today, 8/27/2021, I have removed Ms. *******’s phone number per her request. We strive to always be in compliance with the law and work diligently to ensure our agency makes every attempt to resolve any and all complaints received by a consumer. I trust this letter satisfies the request and expectations of our company, but I remain available to your office at ###-###-#### X***, should I be able to offer any further information or assistance.
