In July 2022 we had brought our boat to the owner to look at and see what was wrong with the motor. He can back told us it was blown up and needed to be rebuilt or replaced. We used our insurance and had it rebuilt. Took a year to get it back from him. We took it out and it still was not running. He wouldn't fix it. We paid another shop and they said it was blown. We took it back to the owner and he had to replace the whole motor because of issues on his part. Almost another year later we are fighting to get our boat back and working. We finally had enough of all of the lies from this business owner about it being almost done. My fiance has blown up this man's phone about our boat and he ignored us. Finally my fiance had to help him put the motor in our boat yesterday (April 26 2024) and the next day (today) the motor is out and in pieces again. We have paid this man money to fix our boat and has hasn't come close to fixing it. We took our boat out of there and it's in pieces. We owe on a loan for the boat. Then he told us we had to buy parts that he needed for it after he was paid two years ago to fix it. This is the worst business and customer service I have ever dealt with. I know that if I go to court he will just default on his LLC and start a new one, and we will get no money out of this. I have a family member who is in the law business and she has had this happen. This man needs to be shut down and not allowed to have a business any longer. I don't know what else to do but this needs to be resolved. I am in tears because I have been paying on a boat for 2 years and used it 5 times because this man will not or cannot fix it. Even after he was paid. And I don't have the cash to pay someone else to fix it. That's what the insurance money was for.

Her husband had an insurance claim.   I gave him an insurance quote.   He wanted to keep costs down so he installed the boat motor himself to save money.   There was an issue with that motor that he installed.  I warrantied it, gave him a warranty and fixed his motor.   Next thing I heard, he said he had the boat out and heard a bang.  He thought it was the long block.   So 2 or 3 weeks ago, I did more work on the motor for him.  He then took the motor and the customer then installed it again himself.   And that's where we're at.   When my work left the shop, it was not installed in his boat.  He did all that.  So I don't know what he did or didn't do and how that is affecting things.   Thank you.

I Hired Brisson to restore my boat in January 23. I have given him about 2,700 dollars to finish the whole haul work of the boat and has failed to do so. I also added more work to be included with my spending on parts and a motor to be installed as well. This was suppose to be finished by now and nowhere close in my view on being finished. I would like a refund and my boat and all belongs back that are not his to claim. I was deterred today in regards on picking up My Boat. Apparently he was too busy to return my property, I wasn't even going to complain about a refund or X amount of money back until a later date. However now I feel he's withholding my property without my permission or consent at this current point.

I never told him he couldn't get his boat, i said its not finished i am by appointment only he came on his own , un announced while i was in the middle of building an engine for a customer and disrupted me . I then told him to come back the next day when i wasn't going to be busy . Again i am by appointment only. He then sent me a big text message apologizing and telling me to continue doing the work… not sure what this guys issue is but his stuff is here safe and still in the brand new packages so he can grab them whenever.. he has since block my number .. therefore i have not been able to contact him…

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.   Please review the email that was sent yesterday. It wouldn’t let me submit my rejection response yesterday this way. Regards,  ****** *****

BBB spoke with the business owner and the following was relayed: The customer has all of his stuff back.  This all stems from work that was added on after the original work we talked about was completed.  Original plan was to do one job, that job got done.  He added other stuff and it took longer.  He's paid me about $2,600 right now for the work that I completed.  I never got paid for the parts that I ordered for this job, so I kept the parts,  It was custom work and custom parts.  Listen, I was not aware of any problems until I got the BBB complaint.  I run this business by myself.  I'm a one man show- I do everything.  Everything.  So I'm busy and I'm appointment only.  The customer came by, unannounced and I told him that I was busy was appointment only but I never told him that he couldn't take his stuff.  Anyways, I had the Sheriff here to make sure that he got everything back smoothly and on the record and the customer was good when he left.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I dispute the statement that the work was completed, when it was not completed. I have pictures of what was done. I was told the boat would be refurbished and look new  with a new transom and new paint job for the 2500 I was quoted verbally. It sat there for six months pretty much as explained in my last email. Further to this response, my boat looked in better condition before I brought it in to him. A partial refund would be a way to settle this matter with clean hands. However if this is something the owner disputes, I reject all his claims at this current point.  I have commenced a small claims action against the business, and I will proceed  this matter in that direction.  Regards,  ****** *****

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Im asking for a refund or partial refund. I’m willing to take a partial refund out of courtesy due to what work was completed at this point to settle this matter, without having to go to court. As the business said the job is complete I dispute those allegations. He claimed the work was complete. However, the receipt that I received with all my belongings states took boat before completion. From mine and others views, aLeo assessing the work it is incomplete. That being the case if my boat wasn’t sitting there for almost 6 months and the job wasn’t being pushed aside ,I wouldn’t have had to take the boat before completion. Bad business ethics in my view.    Regards,  ****** *****
