I used Unpakt.com to find a mover to complete a move in 2022, and the brokering of the move was handled by Unpakt, with the moving company that took the job ******************* in ** (Did the physical move). I paid Unpakt.com directly in April 2022 - I was billed in advance, and the website/account shows me that I pay them directly, they pay the mover. On May 11, 2024 I received a certified letter from the mover, *******************, that I owe the full amount of their charges for the move of $4,400, apparently not paid in the past 2 years by Unpakt. The letter does not explain any attempts they made or not to collect from Unpakt. Several attempts to call customer service and email to ******************** have been unsuccessful. They do not answer the phone even during their posted live service hours. The mover has sent me a part of the bill of lading with a clause highlighted that if they extend credit for the move, that I am ultimately still responsible for payment if they are otherwise unpaid. Unpakt is a moving company broker.1. They connected me with a mover that took 76 days to deliver my goods, and apparently only owns one truck.2. They owe me a balance of $1,246, outstanding for over a MONTH.3. They claimed to have sent the money "that day" on a phone call, but then backtracked saying that they were waiting on a response from the moving company.4. Communication has been minimal and all initiated by me.Business response

Customer ******* booked with My Move Moving & Storage on 10/28/21.
Then he stated via the move plan that he wasn't able to accept the delivery until 11/2/21.
The delivery estimate of 330 business days then started after 11/2/21.
Updates from the moving company were slow, but they did communicate that they didn't have an update and were working to provide one.
Delivery was eventually completed (on 01/11/22), but the refund occurred months later because we were waiting for the *** from the movers, which was communicated to the customer several times.Once My Move Moving & Storage submitted the *** (on 03/2022), they explained the following (via email) regarding the delivery:
The client was unavailable to receive the delivery between 11.18.21 and 12.4.21.
As per contract, they had up to 30 Business days from 12.5.21 to deliver this shipment.
That delivery estimate gives us a full delivery span of 12.5.211.14.22 for delivery.
