They greeted me and my brother with slurs after we drove 3 hours for a car they lied about having and are still to this day falsely advertising on their website, I demanded a refund on my deposit after ****** (sales rep) made me sit around from 930am - 3pm and tried to sell me a different car 2 times , I told them to issue me a refund multiple times but *****(the manager) "promised" me they would deliver the car to me for the inconvenience when they do find it, I told them I would not accept the car unless it was delivered to me, they kept my deposit and don't tell me until a week later that the car is supposedly "stolen" and that they "swapped" cars with another dealership and they can't deliver the car to me because I live in a different state which they already knew from the first phone call I had with them , they are claiming I am now exempt from a refund because they had to swap cars and are refusing to give me my money back so now I am considering taking them to small claims court, they also never sent me a receipt for the deposit but I have the bank statement

I visited Bronx Kia today August 1st, I went there to get a state inspection and to check on my fog light that was showing an error on my dash. Eventually ******** came to me and told me that the issue was the fog light wiring and needs to be replaced. ******** stated shes unsure if Id pass my inspection without the fix. Completely neglecting to mention that my inspection was actually already complete at this point. I inquired about not getting it fix at the moment because I have to report to work shortly and couldnt afford another 30min wait. She assures me itll be fast and then tells me itll be $180. Still unsure I called my wife to consult, my wife advises I ask to halt the process so that we can have a second opinion and possible better pricing. ******** tells me the tech has already completed the service and they are unable to stop the process since everything has already been done. She sees the confusion on my face consults with another man and then says shell drop the price to $130. This entire time I am under the impression that I had no choice but to get this service done. Lets keep in mind all of these conversations are happening within minutes. I was not aware of pricing or presented with an option to get this service done. I do not feel I shouldve had to pay anything but desperately did not want to argue. I am requesting a FULL refund and for the owner of this place to take a look into how their sells people are conducting business. The business conducted today greatly lacked integrity, this seems to be their way of conducting business, its unacceptable and needs to be rectified.

The consumer was advised of the cost of the repair service and provided Bronx Kia with verbal authorization prior to Bronx Kia opening a repair order. The business's understanding is that the consumer's wife did not want the repair work done, but this was not communicated to the business until after authorization was provided and the work was completed. The pricing was communicated, fair and acceptable to the consumer.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This simply did NOT happen this way at all. Weve called this company multiple times, Ive left multiple reviews on multiple platforms to get this situation handled. This situation is over two months old. Bronx Kia did respond after me leaving a ****** review however after responding to that review and following all the steps to get this solved, customer service has yet to follow up with me. I can share screen shots of them advising me to email a customer care email with details, that email was sent and nothing!

The bottom line is my wife thought she was getting the car inspected, while doing the inspection the front desk woman walked over to advise they were going to work on the headlights and it would be X amount of dollars. My wife quickly called me to advise of the pricing. I couldnt agree to what they were trying to charge since I knew it should be cheaper. After walking back over to the front desk lady only MINUTES (1-2) after speaking to me the front desk person says oh theyve already started, hes already done with the car. At that point is when we both realized they started this work before giving a price quote and getting our agreement. There had not been any signed paperwork yet explaining what type of work was being done to the car and the price. This wasnt the first time a Kia ********** has worked on my car Im well aware of the process and how it is supposed to work.

After explaining to the person wed like to pass on the work being done she went to the back I guess to speak with her manager and came back and offered the work for a lower price. My wife was not rowdy, she isnt that type. So there was no need to drop the prices we werent even concerned too much about the price the main thing is you did not communicate this ahead of time and basically made it so that whatever price you did quote we had no choice but to pay because your people have already completed the job. This is not fair business practices. If Bronx Kia has any integrity theyd run those cameras back and see everything play out exactly how Im explaining it.

At this point they can keep the money, I just need other customers to be aware of their shady business practices. I am not the only customer who complained of something similar happening to them at this Kia **********. Its clearly the way they practice business and it just isnt fair. Just read their ****** Reviews youll see!

On April 27 I purchased a vehicle at Bronx Kia and the salesman was extremely rude to my father and myself. I waited 2 weeks for the *** to issue me plates and nobody was able to assist me in finding a resolution. The *** clerk *********************** up on me when I was expressing my frustrations. She then began ignoring my phone calls, I drove out of my way to resolve this issue in person after a month and a half of back and forth. She refused to assist me once again, so I explained it all over again to the ** *********************. He spoke with ******* and let me know that my plates were never being worked on to begin with. Therefore, she was lying the entire time and had me driving around with expired temporary plates. *** was a bit empathetic and gave me his personal number and insisted I reach out to him ANYTIME. A few days later I sent a text asking for an update and had me wait 6 hours for a response. When I expressed once again how frustrating this experience has been he responded arrogantly stating I was basically bothering him on his day off while he spent time with his kids and dismissed me. I was completely taken back, and informed him I will just have to deal with the store owner ***** and his response was "That's great". Eventually weeks later ******* sent me an email confirming my plates would be mailed to me. I received them. I had to have my vehicle serviced and I refused to give Bronx Kia my business so I opted for *********** where ************************* was extremely kind and beyond helpful. He informed me my vehicle was listed under another persons name and address. I had no idea who this person was and ****** explained to me this could only have happened at Bronx Kia since they're systems do not communicate in that matter. Of coarse, I was not surprised at this point after dealing with that location. The owner ************************* had yet to respond to my email complaint. I reached out again and ********************* ends up calling me and hanging up on me!

      Good afternoon,

Bronx Kia just found this complaint dated 02/16/2022 on our complaint portal. There was no email notification regarding this complaint and no one in our company was notified about this complaint and I am unable to respond via the portal. Please accept this response to the complaint, a copy of which is attached.

The consumer references "April 27" as the purchase date -- that is April 27, 2021, one year ago. The consumer does not request any particular settlement, though we note that her out-of-state license plates were received as the complaint indicates and the consumer states she had a positive customer service experience at **********************'s affiliate dealer, ***********.

      Thank you.

      Regards,

I financed a car and it was re-poed. The dealership is still using the car for personal use with my license plate **********. They have racked up over $700 in speeding/ red light tickets in my name. They have also racked up thousands of dollars in EZ-Pass tolls. I have contacted the business asking them to stop, and they continue to use the car. I refuse to pay for any of these tickets, as the car has not been in my possession since January 20th (date of repoed). The latest ticket I have received dates October 2021. Please assist me with this issue as I am seeking legal action against this company. Thank you

      ******,

In follow-up to our telephone conversation on Tuesday, I am supplementing Bronx Kias response to the complaint below. As I surmised, none of our employees or representatives had any involvement in the repossession of the consumers vehicle, and we do not currently have nor did we have the consumers vehicle after the consumer initially took possession of the vehicle. The lienholder of record would be the appropriate party for the consumer to direct her complaint regarding repossession.
