We went under contract with Panorama Windows for our ************* apartment renovation. We basically picked them because they lowered their price to be cheaper than the other party and if cost was a tie, we would have went wit Panorama as we liked their product a little bit better. However, they were cutting corners from the beginning. When they gave us the estimate, they used another apartment in our building that they did as opposed to looking our our drawings so they had to redo the pricing and were mad at me that I asked for the revision. I believe the owner called it "push back" when I wanted them to price windows that would actually be the size of our windows. Other stuff happened but without any written notice they raised the price on us and if we refused they would cancel the contract which they did. They sent a refund to the wrong location just to be difficult and unprofessional. They kept their $2,500 shop drawing deposit which is ridiculous since we didn't cancel the contract and they wanted another $16,269 for the windows or about a 15% increase which was in breach of contract since the contract doesn't provide a date they are allowed to do a price increase. It's pretty clear: 1.) They never sent a change order for final approval which we were waiting on so they never were "delays" in approval if we don't have the final documents to approve; 2.) "Delay" is not defined with a specific timeframe and therefore cannot be unilaterally enforced without written notice to the counterparty directly, which is me, and none was provided; 3.) No written notice was provided to change the monetary terms in the contract until after they decided to terminate; 4.) Prior to jumping straight to saying a price increase had to occur, no options were provided (fabricate and store, etc.) to the counterparty of the contract which was required. How can a business change material contract terms without any notification and think it's legal and/or professional. Stay awayCustomer response
