      ****, the owner of CleanSlate services (restoration company) along with his crew came to my home on 10-22-21 to look to service / restore the damage I had from my oil tank leak as well as my hot water heater leak. He entered my home and taped paper down on my wood floors to protect the floors from dirt. I never asked him to service the job. When he left, I removed the paper and did notice there were tape marks.I tried removing the tape marks with water, but it didnt come off. A contractor, restoring some damage looked at it when I asked him to and he said the polyutherane was removed and that I should contact the restoration company to restore the damage. I contacted the owner of Clean Slate on 11/18 telling him I need him to fix it. He said he doesnt do that and that its my fault this happened as he asked me to cover the floors. I told him I would take measures to get an estimate for the repair. He said thanks for the info. I received an estimate to repair the floor for $1500. I would like you to contact **** at Cleanslate requesting reimbursement for the damage he has made to my floor.

      October 22,2021 at approx. 12pm **** (owner)****** (project manager) and 2 technicians responded to a service call. Upon arrival homeowner would not allow us to enter home unless we had booties or put down floor protection. At homeowner request paper was placed with minimal tape to hold down edge/corners, we continued to basement to assess the situation of her loss. At this point the homeowner and **** discussed the claim process as to which we were advised the claim was not yet reported to her insurance carrier.After discussion homeowner advised we were not to do any work at this time. We did a sketch of the main level to charge the carrier if claim would be reported for the floor protect used at homeowner request and we left. On November 18th,2021, the homeowner contacts our office claiming we damaged her floor.

      Once again, the homeowner requested, we place the floor protection before we entered her home

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      There is still damage to my floors. Clean Slate damaged my floors and could have used a non damaging protection. I request that Clean Slate reimburses me for the damage, which will cost me @ $1500
